BikeVis - can you see me now?

Those look like the Cree LED lights I got off Amazon, work great on my DR350 day and night.
  2. looks like a great trip, thanks for sharing.

    KLX250S and CRF250L

You may have trouble registering it in California unless it is a California model and still has all the smog stuff. DMV will need to inspect the bike when registering an out of state bike.

  5. My daughter and I were out for an noon ride today and found the gate locked at the start of the truck trail off Alta rd, is there another way up from the south side? Thanks, Marc
  6. Hey Uncle C, Thanks for the heads up, I've never been up Bear Valley on a weekend and didn't consider the traffic factor. Hopefully not too bad if that's what you're referring to. I've ridden the other parts a few years ago. We are camping in spot 66, getting there Friday afternoon and riding early Saturday, maybe staying Saturday night. We'll be riding out from Eastlake, doing the minimalist thing on my DR350 and daughter on KLX250S. Marc
  7. Awesome loop, just what I was looking for. My daughter and I will be camping at Lake Morena this weekend and will be doing this loop Saturday, taking our time and enjoying the scenery.
  8. Hi All, New member here, just getting back into dual sporting having been away for +20 years, but have been a daily commuter and occasional touring rider for most of the last 20 years, currently on a DL1000. I'm 46ish, just moved to Eastlake/Chula Vista a few months back. Riding Otay Valley/Mountain is my kind of 'down-time' but way too nervous on the heavy DL so I bought a nice old plated DR350. I have it mostly sorted out, did some light riding in the valley last weekend and had a blast. I'm a slow rider keeping mostly to the easy stuff so the speed and off-road restrictions suit me fine. I look forward to seeing others out there, and doing what I can to help keep 'out there' open to us. Thanks for a great site, great info, and great ride stories, Marc
