Getting old is a pain in the ass. I'm new to the whole glasses thing and haven't figured out how to have goggles and eyesight correction. I figured, mehhh, I can just ride with no googles... bad Idea for me, its been 24 hrs and my eyes still look like I stumbled out of a Cheech and Chong movie set. What are my fellow nearsighted riders rocking? Any advice is appreciated

The kicker 650R. Rode up to Idyllwild from Ramona for lunch. Bee canyon was a zoo, really a bad scene. Bunch of side by sides going too fast around blind turns, super dangerous. I expect rules regarding access to that road will be changing pretty soon, it was REALLY REALLY BAD. Do not ride a motorcycle on that road during the weekend! After lunch when we were leaving the area I noticed a huge dust plume will I looking back at the mountainside, It was a rescue helicopter...https://www-pe-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.pe.com/2020/05/17/off-roading-crash-east-of-hemet-leaves-1-dead-1-hospitalized/amp/?amp_js_v=a3&amp_gsa=1&usqp=mq331AQFKAGwASA%3D#aoh=15897891579389&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&amp_tf=From %1%24s&ampshare=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.pe.com%2Foff-roading-crash-east-of-hemet-leaves-1-dead-1-hospitalized

San Bernardino Trails Open Update 5-12
97xr400r replied to ADV Bum's topic in Trail closures and conditions for Southern California
That's good news, thanks for the update. Old City Creek road has been closed for quite a while. It looked like it had a pretty big washout early last year. Does anybody around here know if it's open? -

4 days of wondering in California
97xr400r replied to 97xr400r's topic in 4 Days & Longer Trip Write-Ups and Photos
California Trail maps , Google and CABDR running on locus map. It was a nice change of pace to just be able to follow the bdr route on the 3rd day. It gets tiring trying to navigate and ride all day after day, fun and surprising though. I wish I had recorded it, I'm trying to be better about that. -
4 days of wondering in California
97xr400r replied to 97xr400r's topic in 4 Days & Longer Trip Write-Ups and Photos
It was new to me, I had just finished going through it. Had some flawless local shakedown runs under it's belt and wanted to stretch the legs. Oh and the 650R was down with worn out valves. Hah, actually it's CID's ol bike. I didn't know it at the time, I got it from the guy cid sold it to. Everybody I've run into that HAS owned one wishes they still had it... It's a surprisingly different feeling bike from the 990A I had. Amazing DS motorcycle, especially if your the one working on it, simple mega dirt bike. Your welcome to ride it! There's actually some popping up for sale these days I think due to the 790. -
This was a great idea. Thanks for putting it together!
