-
Defintely good times! Thanks

got the 12v socket from cycle gear installed today, thanks everyone for the advices. my bike had a spare/unused wire by the headlight (that are for an extra light for the european models) so didn't even need any fuse, easy job. and that usb adapter is definitely sexy tsr! just found a similar thing on ebay and got two of them: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dual-2-Port-USB-Mini-Bullet-Car-Power-Charger-Adapter-12V-f-iPad2-3-iPhone4-iPod-/321046338551

calnub: if there is a way to get to 4 corners from the west we should consider it for tomorrow morning
-
Yes cool! I live right by grossmont college let me know where you want to meet, around 6 or 6:30 im guessing if we take back roads? Another new development is my girls are sick so we pushed thebday party to next sunday, so i can ride all day tomorrow now
-
Ok cool, thanks! Cycle gear is a bit far but i did check @ pepboys when i picked up a bulb yesterday, but obviously not good enough
-
cool, as long as i don't encounter patches of ice on the road it'll be fun. what about this, think it'll work? http://goo.gl/maps/xMpYH

Merci. all has been fixed, even rejetted ($.22 mod they call it) the klr for an extra 1hp (at least), and got some knobbies from wekert & calnub! Im trying to make it, last step is convincing wifey that i have a chance to make it back in one peice by noon for our little one's bday. Should work

-

1/9 Backcountry Loop

260 miles! awesome. man i wish to go on one of these one day soon -
get your bike's Clymer manual and start doing maintenance yourself (and eventually repairs). I don't know the DRZ400 but usually these thumpers aren't too hard to work on. Your owners manual probably states what needs to be done at 600miles, probably just oil and basic inspections as bikeslut said. you'll save a lot of cash that way and will also become familiar with the bike which could help you someday on the trails.. (oops, tlking6 beat me to it)

The almost no Kato Otay ride......
kato replied to TrophyHunter's topic in 1 to 3 Day Ride Write-Ups, Stories and Photos
And because your garage is still full of half burned tires my front wheel was all over the place and i crashed today ahah. Or maybe i was just riding beyond my limits. Sorry its taking me so long to come by. -
The almost no Kato Otay ride......

Great views on these trails, cool pictures. sucks my carb decided to puke gas when it was time to go but im glad i got it fixed quicck enough to still be able to ride and by chance meet everyone too! Thanks -
in a way i m glad i fell on the way up because that calmed me down so i took the downhill more easy (falling on the downhill could have been less gracious). merci for the good tips on the trail!
-
Couldn't make Campo this morning so I'm planning a ride in the Otay area early afternoon insead, on the klr. headsup though I'm a new newb and have no idea where I'm going :rolleyes:/> if anyone wants to join (and lead..) that's cool, if not my plan is to go down the 94 to OtayTT and go from there. If I'm able to find trails taking me there I'd like to go to Tecate on dirt, then back on the 94 (or on dirt..), but I might just stay around otay and play around.
-
just got home too, goodtimes I crashed trying to follow you on the way back up Beezzz (I heard it was somehow graceful though) hard to go a lil fast and keep the front wheel in front of the bike on those gravels. no prob though, i didnt get a scratch and the old klr is fine too. well, learned nOOb lesson #283: ride at your own pace, don't try to "keep up with your friends". what a beautiful area, looking forward to more lessons

the more the merrier but hey you're leading + I'm a newb, all calls are yours eheh
