Oh man, I thought it was my turn to bring the invalid...

Sorry this happened. I've been though a few surgeries...depressing at first, but you'll come out of it and be thinking about motorcycling again soon. Heal fast and get back out there!

I'll be camping at San Elijo this weekend so maybe I'll walk down Friday to give you the bird...

So far, so awesome! Keep it on two wheels... -
JUST FYI...passing this deal on because I have one of these helmets and love it. This is a tri-composite fiberglass helmet. Better than the molded polymer helmets you find in this price range IMO. I paid almost $200 just a few months ago. High end look and feel. I wear an XL usually but had to go with a XXL in Speed and Strength. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/51240/i/speed-and-strength-ss2500-hell-n-back-hi-visibility-helmet?wt.ac=adv_closeouts_main_-_1_07.03.14_sshellnback

I'm thinking about installing the aftermarket radiator hose kit, with thermostat bypass, on my 08 ktm 530. I'm interested in opinions and comments on this subject. The good, the bad, etc...

Opinions wanted on thermostat bypass
Oracle replied to Oracle's topic in Equipment & Technical Forum
Well, over the weekend I replaced the trashed right side radiator, installed some Devol radiators guards, and installed the Pro Factory radiator hi-flow hose kit with thermostat bypass. Also did an oil change, spark plug, and grips...the 530 is ready to rip. I'll be doing a hot lap around my local stuff later this week to test everything. -

Saturday July 5th - 8 AM start in Escondido
Oracle replied to TrophyHunter's topic in Informal Local Rides & Who's Going Riding!
That sounds better than taking in-laws from Texas to the beach on the 4th of July weekend to me ...but I doubt my wife will agree. I'll see what I can do... -
That awesome, congrats Jason. And thanks for your service, it's very much appreciated by my family!

Well, for what it's worth, I've been riding for 30 years and I still get sketched out of the street. I don't care for it at all but it is an means to an end for me, so I accept it. And I have found that a bigger, heavier bike, does make a difference on the road, especially the highway...the draw back of course that you give up performance off-road. If I was you, I would consider something like a DR 400 and maybe lower it a bit to fit you better. I think you will have a little more confidence riding a slight bigger bike, with more displacement, on the road. Member Vanjoosten has a very nice dr400 that he will be posting for sale shortly so if you are interested, hit him up.
