Truth. These go up like marshmallows that get too close to the flame.

  4. Darn, just saw this...about a hour late as it turns out. I doubt it's muddy...that mountain sucks up moister like the sun.
  5. Yeah, Kug was on to something. Recently the site changed it's rules for posting pics...the option is only available to supporting members now. If you are so inclined, go to the home page and hit the donate button. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the minimum is $30 per year?
  6. I use Chrome and they are not showing up for me.
  7. That areas gets decent monsoonal rain storms. Last year, around this exact time of year, I was up there riding mid week (place was totally empty) and one day it rained pretty good. The next day the riding was epic. I'm heading back up next week for some mid week action and hope to get some rain.
  8. Unless something unexpected pops up I'm in. I'm in Ramona so I'll plan on meeting here at whatever times works for you guys
  9. My input on this subject is commonly ridiculed and my reputation tarnished by the mere suggestion that the most refreshing beer in the world comes in a silver can with blue mountains.
  10. Possible. I'll check back tomorrow.

    Swapping plates?

There is a section of California vehicle code that makes this a wobbler. A wobbler is a crime that could be prosecuted as a misdemeanor or a felony, depending on the totality of the circumstances. So, even though it's a long shot, there is a chance you could be arrested. Other courses of action by the officer might be to cite and release, cite and tow your rig, or maybe just give you a verbal warning.
  14. I wanted to let the group know that Chris went down today pretty hard. He is in the hospital in Inland Valley. Sounds like he'll be there a couple days. His son told me he has 8 broken ribs and a broken collar bone for sure. Chris is not answering his phone but probably wouldn't mind getting a text message from those so inclined. I'll let the group know when I hear more.

Just a heads up on Crawdaddy

That section is very rutted up...and slippery...definitely not a place you want to cross rut it.

Looked like the same spot you went down on your 990 that day we were coming back from camping?
  18. Bro, I admired you before reading this. Now you are my hero. I'm not so sure the passenger was real though....no pics...no info....hum... ...and day 5....I can't believe she went along with that... What a great adventure. Awesome pics of course. Awesome spirit to take on some of those challenges riding with a passenger but no other bikes. And **** that loud mouth in the jeep. He's lucky LB wasn't there to back you.
  19. Thing Valley to Kitchen Creek gate has been closed for years. I've never seen it open. That site is ridiculously unreliable FYI
