That's cool, I'm out too. I fogot I'm on call again this weekend...

I purchased it a couple years when I was riding Glamis 10 times a season. I was a very nice,and inexpensive insurance policy, but the main draw back is that when you go down, you will not have the luxury of choosing which air ambulance service they call to evac you. Most areas are covered by 2 or 3 air evac services, so you could end up getting a ride on one that is not covered. With that said, the cost is so minimal in the grand scheme of things, it's still worth considering.

I'm a possibility for Saturday, but I'm finishing up a kitchen remodel so I'm a tad ambivalent about it...

Well, I can almost guarantee you that they are not perfectly balanced as is...sooooo...something is not right. Either they forgot to balance them all to together, or the forgot to add the weights as necessary ...A phone call is in order for sure.

Looks pretty clean too. Maybe I can swap it out with my 950 and nobody will ever notice.

It was fun... I forgot the Vanjoosten didn't finish that same route last time or I would have pressured him a little more to get it done, damned the headlight assembly...it's under warranty. I say we pick it up a little next time and get out of 2nd gear...

technically, if you were stopped on the highway without DOT tires, your bike could be towed and impounded, it just depends on how the officers wants to handle it.

The good news is that you'll only do that once!

A good friend of mine was assigned to the task force that deploys on that boat. I have first hand knowledge of it and can tell you it is even more bad ass than you can imagine.

I've done it. It was many years ago (30 or so), and I remember it taking a few weeks to get back to normal. I couldn't imagine doing Baja a week later, that's for sure.

Center for Biological Diversity is even worse than the Sierra Club. They are a very extreme group and were the primary drivers behind the lawsuit in 2000 against the BLM, forcing (for lack of a better word)them to close almost 50% of the ISDRA (Glamis). They are also part of the lawsuit against California State Parks in their effort to close open riding in OW. I was involved in supporting (both monetarily and volunteering) organizations like the ASA that fought these groups for a number of years. They are a serious threat and anytime I can make small changes, like purchasing a different beer, that will impact their supporters, I'll do it.

I love that area. There was a time I did an annual trip up there, but then I started having kids. Now it's about time to start heading back again.

I had three sightings in one day about two weeks ago. Crawdaddy at highway 67 and Dye Rd. Kato heading east on main street (highway 67) in Ramona and Schwinn heading westbound on Harmony Grove Rd.
