Some guy tested the MSR bag put gas in it and left it out in the sun for like a week or so with no issues.

Based on that if you use the sippy lid you can just squeeze the gas into the tank no hose or funnel needed.
Seems to work, I have one but have never needed to use it to date.

I've Carried fuel in msr bladders dozens of times zero issues besides you can smell the gas so don't put into a backpack

Just did 3 Days in az on rzrs with the giantloop 3 gallon bladder worked well

I know a few people who tried getting from McCain across to S2 unsuccessfully. And I know zero people who made it across.

Done it multiple times if you know the right trail it's not bad but it's a one way.

100% illegal and I have been stopped by a ranger before there so don't do it it's heavily patrolled especially in a certain mating season

Any reason you're going asterisk instead of Pods or Mobius? I've been rolling the dice for too long, I'd like to get something to protect these ol' knees.

Mobius are too bulky and the hinge pivot after 2 years started to wear out. Been clunking for last year. Choose asterisk just to try out I like the way it forms around leg and cause already know couple people with pods

I’ve recently had some x ray and MRI done. I’m thinking I can get my doc to prescribe knee braces. Leatt are approved medical devices. I was also thinking POD. Will look at these other brands too.
    thanks guys!

I'm getting the same done in 2 weeks been with my orthopedic surgeon appt. Been using Mobius x8 for last 3 year but they are destroyed now. Either gonna get custom fitted for some cto braces or go with asterisk 4.0 off the shelf.

Couple buddy's have the leatt I would skip and do pods or Mobius instead

Went thru this dillema with the new trucks.

Dodge Eco Diesel 30mpg but EPA mapping in CA made it dangerous to drive, lemon lawed it back to dealer after several near rear end collisions due to the motor issues

Ford Ranger 2.3L eco diesel tows 5K lbs was getting 18mpg and even though crew cab back seat to small for 2 grown adults

Ford F150 with the 5.0 motor getting 20mpg freeway, better if it didnt have the 373 gearing. Rated to tow 13K lbs

All of these trucks were 4dr 4x4 fully loaded.

If you can find an F150 with the 5 liter motor in 2wd that would take care of all your needs if you got it with the extended cab instead of crew that gets you the longer bed options.

I just sold my ram ecodiesel worst vehicle I have ever owned had $28k in warranty work plus all the recalls done to it before I sold.

New f150 are awesome I went with f250 diesel for towing reason

New member here. I came here specifically to address these things. I cannot offer much advice, but as a rider, I am annoyed. I covered the East County for 20 years as a Registered Process Server, so I had to seek out some very hard-to-find addresses out there. I had to deal with gates on a legal level. Often, I would just park and walk past them. I was immune to trespass while performing my lawful duties. So, at my age, these illegal gates really piss me off. One guy I was after shot and killed someone that came on his semi-gated property in Jamul. He had been hit by copper thieves before, so he was ready to blast away. Be careful. As wrong as these gates are, you don't know what the residents are thinking. It is not fair, it is not legal, but as a dude that has been down many a driveway named as a trail, it's not safe or worth being in the right.

Nice input yeah been deer hunting and riding in some remote areas in San Diego and according to my GPS maps fair game but have come across more than a couple weird gates or fence lines way off course.

Fyi I think I've been to that property and meet that guy in jamul, bought trailer frame off a guy out there a decade ago that was a massive junk hoarder who's neighbors were forcing him to get rid of acres of junk
