Corral is good, pine valley is another option. Look up McCain, lost of sand near staging area but get up one hill and can be on hardpack for miles -
Does anyone have a dual hitch hauler I can rent for like a week, from February26-march 3rd? Headed to baja with it and will be in a secure lot Thanks Brian

Anza Borrego State Park
Bp619 replied to Bluhdow's topic in Informal Local Rides & Who's Going Riding!
I'll check if I still have tracks. My favorite 100ish mile loop was to start at pinion do heart attack hill down to fish creek, into blowsand in ow, then san felipe wash into town via inspiration wash or exit near the borrego dump. Then up montezuma down to grape vine down to hwy 78 -

Yeah very disappointed with Diablo drop off, went a couple weeks ago in my truck and so many options in both climbs -
Camped Santa Rosa multiple times, super cool spot I always got it on a 20+mph windy night though

Just rode it today from pv to sunrise. Yes gate is open at first turn off, other two gates are only Accessible on two wheels 😉
-
Nice I haven't been up on deer park in years without bypassing gates. Wonder why they shut it down for so many years

In-koh-pah / Stagecoach
Bp619 replied to 350thumper's topic in Informal Local Rides & Who's Going Riding!
Done it multiple times if you know the right trail it's not bad but it's a one way. 100% illegal and I have been stopped by a ranger before there so don't do it it's heavily patrolled especially in a certain mating season -
Mobius are too bulky and the hinge pivot after 2 years started to wear out. Been clunking for last year. Choose asterisk just to try out I like the way it forms around leg and cause already know couple people with pods
-
I'm getting the same done in 2 weeks been with my orthopedic surgeon appt. Been using Mobius x8 for last 3 year but they are destroyed now. Either gonna get custom fitted for some cto braces or go with asterisk 4.0 off the shelf. Couple buddy's have the leatt I would skip and do pods or Mobius instead
