    Historic aerial photos....

Stole this from another site I visit. http://www.historicaerials.com/ Place you can order old historic aerial photos. You can preview them with watermarks before you order. Not all the country but good chunks of it. And not all years. You can pick a spot in SoCal and go from pic to pic and see the orange groves turn in to track homes.

    Vintage Collection

Oh wow! I am impressed!! Having gone through a frame off of my 71 DT1-250 (link attached) I know what it takes in time and cashola! I would love to have a shop like his with that display area and his parts shelves/bins way more organized than me!! LOL!! Here are some pics of mine. If I could only find someone who is good with the transmissions. The bike fires right up but wont shift from 2nd to 3rd. https://1971yamahadt1250.shutterfly.com/

    Sat Phones?

Looking for some options/thoughts on SAT phones. Anyone get/use/rent/buy? Wouldn't mind having one for Baja trips. I know SPOT works well and is an option jsut wanted to know if anyone is using SAT Phones as well? There are these two websites I found doing quick search..... http://www.telestial.com/view_product.php?ID=RENT-SP03 www.satmodo.com/Satellite-Phone Thanks!

    Sat Phones?

So after going back and forth with the cost of renting/buying etc. I finally decided on just getting the Delorme InReach SE. If anyone has feedback that would be good to hear. From what I read and looked at its a pretty good option as they use the Iridium Satellites and you still get tracking/SOS and the big bonus is True Two Way messaging. If I really start spending more time in Baja, then that will help justify the cost of the sat phone.

    Rigid Industries SRM2 Driving LED

great writeup! I have been thinking of a better lighting solution for my DR. It looks like for off road trails/dirt roads and Baja use the 3 LED will be perfect for the price. Jsut wondering if one or two will fit the bill. you mentioned 11 watts only each right? That's not bad at all!
