    Traffic School

Anyone have experience with any of the online ones? I got a ticket last summer and I nearly forgot about my requirement to complete Traffic school by the beginning of May. The county sent me a whole list but some of the sites seem to be inactive. Any suggestions? Cheaper the better as this off work for six months thing and medical bills are kicking my bank account's ass.

    Who wants Pizza and Beer?

Hey guys, I promise this is the last time I will be asking for help here, but I need some help to get s lift from Harbor Freight in Mira Mesa and get it set up in my garage. As the lifts weigh 300+ lbs (HF will load with a forklift if it's going in a pick up, utility trailer or cargo van) and I am useless in the lifting department right now I am hoping a few guys might be able to stop by and help out. I will be providing Pizza and a fridge full of Beer. Hopefully it will also give me a chance to also get to know a few of you guys and not just trail behind you all on my little XT... I live in Rancho Penasquitos (I15 & Hwy 56 area) and am totally open on timing, be it Saturday or Sunday, but my HF coupon expires on Sunday so I need to do it this week!

I would have no objection to hosting one... I am puttering around with only one good arm at the moment so, you just can't expect too much work out of me.

    Who wants Pizza and Beer?

Thanks to Trophyhunter, Afry, couple guys from the Tiger 1050 forum and two buddies. My garage now looks like this. In this day and age I am utterly amazed that three guys I had never met before were willing to come to my house and put in a few hours of work to help me out. The motorcycling community never ceases to amaze me and I will most certainly pay it forward when I am healthy. In the mean time the beer fridge is always stocked for all those who car to stop by and talk crap or turn a wrench.

    Who wants Pizza and Beer?

Thanks guys, I am picking it up at HF on Miramar at 9:30-10 so let's aim for 10:30. It should only take about an hour to unload and assemble, the girlfriend is picking up Pizza around noon and the beer fridge will is fully stocked. Address PM'd to all shortly. Anyone else who cares to swing by, there will be more then enough pizza and beer.

Okay the truck portion of this plan has been sorted, now I just need some people to eat pizza, drink beer and unload this thing!
  11. Two weeks ago on the quite residential road coming into my neighborhood, my Tiger and I had a run in with a jackass driving a Jag. Apparently a narrow busy two lane road with parking on both sides is the perfect place to crank your Jag up to 80 mph and come flying around the bend on the wrong side of the road... In a split second a quite day turned into being forced to swerve into a couple empty parking spaces to avoid the oncoming car and as I was not able to stop in time I plowed into the back end of a parked car... Four days in the trauma ward, three surgeries (one to left shoulder, one to right foot and one to the right ankle) later and ten days recovering on the sofa watching crappy daytime TV later, I have made the decision to buy my Tiger back and rebuild her. Now I still have 6 months or so of P.T. to go before I can even think of going back to work, much less ride again. Anyhow the Tiger has no disastrous damage, just a long list of parts needed, that if bought new make her a total loss. After 18,000 miles together I am just too attached to her to let her possibly be parted out. So here goes the biggest project of my life.

    Motorcycle lifts

Anyone happen to be available sometime this week/ weekend to help pick up a lift from HF in Mira Mesa? Got a coupon that expires the 24th that I would like to use.

    Motorcycle lifts

Now that I bought my bike back as salvage, I have decided to buy a lift to use while I rebuild her. Anyhow I have come down to two that are in my price point and was wondering if either stood out as a better deal. Or if there is another option I have missed. First is ones for sale about 1.5 hours away so on top of the $300 I would have add round trip fuel costs in truck to go get if. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/mcy/3684898269.html Second is the one from Harbor Freight. It would come out as $279 with the coupon I have and is a 10 minute drive from home. http://www.harborfreight.com/1000-lb-capacity-motorcycle-lift-68892-8495.html

Anyone with a truck/ trailer able to help Tuesday the 19th?

Thanks to CalNub the Tiger is home and I am working on getting the garage sorted so I can get to work. Thankfully the damage is looking a little less severe then originally thought.

  19. Now that the insurance company has settled up I need to get my bike home tomorrow and with only one working arm and one working leg, I need help. I also seem to have a lack of buddies with trucks or trailers... So if anyone has a truck or trailer and time to help between 9am & 6pm to pick the bike up from Rocket Motorcycles near I8 & I5 and drop it off in near I15 & Hwy 56, it would be much appreciated and rewarded with burgers and beer. The guys at Rocket will help load and I have ramps & neighbors who will help at the home end. Oops the 19th.

Apparently one of the guys who works at Rocket who was planning to help load is out sick today, so if you have time around 4 I am sure we could use some help, as I am useless in my present state.

Yeah, it is looking good. Everyone on here is so awesome. My beer fridge is well stocked and you are all welcome to stop by anytime and have a few. I'll be home most anytime as I am supposed to be taking it easy...

    Motorcycle lifts

Just to be clear...I was not trying to sell mine or trying to get him to buy a " Handy Lift " When Del Sol Cycles in Ramona went out of Biz I bought all 3 Handys for $1200.00. Brought them home and sold 2 on CL for $ 700.00 each and kept 1 for myself. The math was a no brainer. :)/> I never took it as you trying to do anything other then offer to lend me one and inform me of a product you trust. No harm, No foul!

    Motorcycle lifts

Thanks for the offer, but I don't have a compressor either and everyone keeps telling me that once I have a lift I won't want to give it up. S best to get a lift while my injuries make me look pitiful enough to get the purchase approved! Wish I could afford a Handy Lift...

    Motorcycle lifts

Thanks for the heads up, I was wondering about that... Looking at HF website seems a number of people have bought http://www.harborfreight.com/motorcycle-stand-wheel-chock-97841.html to replace the stock chock. Where did you get yours? I don't see one like it on HF site.

    Motorcycle lifts

Thanks for the offer... I will let you know. Talked to a mechanic from Trophy, he thinks it could be unstable because it is so narrow. Although the narrowness was something I liked for fitting it in my garage...
