    Garmin Dakota 20

Hello to the GPS gurus. I have a Dakota 20 and just recorded a TRACK last weekend. After hooking up to the PC Base camp (Windows) I can down load the track. If I try to convert the track to a route, It only makes a straight line between the Start and Finish. Is that normal?
  6. Hope everyone had a good time, I sure had. Nice to put some faces to the Forum. Thank you V-Dog for the fun afternoon.

    Cross-training after 40

Ride your Bike and Mountain bike in the dirt hard till you are exhausted, than rest and keep going. Do this for the next 2 years 2 x week and you are back in shape, If you not fall down hard. After 50 everything take a little longer to heal and brake's easier. I work out 5 time a week, but with more joint pain and stiffness I just focus on moving. 63 and still riding. see you out there.
  8. I will be in Ramona, but will work on the house. Ride on Saturday to the Season opening BBQ in Escondido and later on down south. I can work with a little longer lead time. Sorry.
  9. OK , I am back and just checking my Calendar for the next weeks. Is the BBQ still on?

Anyone know a good local welder?

With the oil soaked aluminum (/ Magnesium?) its not so easy to be welded. The case need to be split and soaked in strong carb/brake cleaner for some time.

I have been there many time, had a lot off fun and good times, but after our last race support in 2009 and the experience driving down to the pit stop (300KM south), I quit and will way some more years to see how there can clean up the crime.

I got the fever to go

Wow! And I though I was an Iron Butt guy. We do plan to take it fairly easy. We padded the days to allow for frequent stops, side roads and weather.Dan is bringing a fancy dancy camera outfit for the phenomenal scenery; I plan to document the ride for those interested in reading about this epic adventure. Like i said in a F250, and driving for hours is not hard form me. Only my wife said that she got tired and it where 11:30 mid night and still daylight.
