    Is it a good idea to use the extra by the headlight for gps? Is it fused?

    I used the lic.plate wires to hook my gps to the battery which helped

    preventing the gps fuse (2Amp)from burning out all the time.

    --( when wired directly to battery, which also drained it.)

    trial and error....

    dontknow about extras.

    What are you going to do with that ax thats on your bike ? We packed fire logs with us. We were in the State Park so no taking of firewood.

    Of course I am Not taking anything from State Parks. Except, other peoples trash... :axehead:

    They just trimmed some trees behind my house, and I took 3 four foot branches, that I could transport easier and then chope'm'up.

    Also, thanks for all the input from y'all, and for now I'm gonna try the GL coyote bag. The DirtBagz looked really nice, but that would require some welding in order to make the ...

    the... I'll call it: the bag holding frame-for now, work. (BTW, I like welding.)

    If I dont like the GL, you'll find it in the SDAR-CL Section.

    All I found, was about custom manufactured(in the process of) ones, and all I'm looking for is ... advice/experiences.

    Also, I just got back from a little weekend excursion, strapping all the needed stuff to my bike...

    Constantly, reaching behind, checking..if its still there.

    There must be a better way to haul a tent, mat, sleeping bag, (ok, the chair is a little over the top..for panniers/bags) and wood. It went over the axe, which doubled as heat shield.

    Food, water, and other heavy items in/on body (read backpack) -hello bikeslut :wave:

    For now, I am looking for some sorts of saddle bags(I think), since this only happens 4 to 6 times a year.

    But then, there might be a good reason to have s/th more sturdy.

    I'm tired, dirty and happy.

    Go ahead and tell me to just go*gle it...

    ... He will "babysit" your kids (10 and older), if you'd forgotten the key to your own bike... :lol:

    Apparently they will allow larger groups to camp/toy haul/5th wheel, etc .. out there,starting in March.

    ... BTW, only if well behaved.. like your dog(s), and kids, and drunks, obviously. Probably wifes too.. dunno.

    ...weight of that bike is not crazy, and with the low seat height, it makes it easier...

    when I rode it for that short time, I did notice those forks are VERY "sproingy"...

    .... some things you should address immediately on your tire-

    1- check spacers; I think we mixed them up and tire is off center-microfiche from bikebandit or ronayers...

    2- you need a 17" tube back there-running a 21 right now

    3- your spoke strip is gone-new strip or smooth duct tape application

    4- adjust your rear brake

    5- get a rimlock-

    Nice of you to confirm - I always thought the word was spongy.... - the thing about my forks.

    -have the oil, hope the springs aren't worn out.

    -But I'm still keeping an eye out for a good priced younger bike, with all the goodies, that have advanced in the past 25 years.

    Well I tagged it..... Except for a border patrol agent telling me I can't ride down to it ....

    Someone can post up a new tag.....

    I have defaulted according to the first post rules. :angry2: I did ride on Saturday, just to get some seat time, but each time takes longer to recuperate and I should have posted a tag after. Didn't like the pics/places.
