On the way to get the tagOrama tag around 0830 I saw 3 individual attendees... 1st yellow drz lightly packed on 67 2nd red BMW with panniers on scripps poway parkw. And finally also on 67 something Orange with black Dakar tank.. he was in a hurry... Hope all goes well. D.

Ok. I've searched panniers and bags... If you can point me to an appropriate thread, Thank you! All I found, was about custom manufactured(in the process of) ones, and all I'm looking for is ... advice/experiences. Also, I just got back from a little weekend excursion, strapping all the needed stuff to my bike... Constantly, reaching behind, checking..if its still there. There must be a better way to haul a tent, mat, sleeping bag, (ok, the chair is a little over the top..for panniers/bags) and wood. It went over the axe, which doubled as heat shield. Food, water, and other heavy items in/on body (read backpack) -hello bikeslut :wave: For now, I am looking for some sorts of saddle bags(I think), since this only happens 4 to 6 times a year. But then, there might be a good reason to have s/th more sturdy. I'm tired, dirty and happy. Go ahead and tell me to just go*gle it... Thanks. Dan.

I used the lic.plate wires to hook my gps to the battery which helped preventing the gps fuse (2Amp)from burning out all the time. --( when wired directly to battery, which also drained it.) trial and error.... dontknow about extras. cheers

Of course I am Not taking anything from State Parks. Except, other peoples trash... They just trimmed some trees behind my house, and I took 3 four foot branches, that I could transport easier and then chope'm'up. Also, thanks for all the input from y'all, and for now I'm gonna try the GL coyote bag. The DirtBagz looked really nice, but that would require some welding in order to make the ... the... I'll call it: the bag holding frame-for now, work. (BTW, I like welding.) If I dont like the GL, you'll find it in the SDAR-CL Section. Thanks again, Dan.

It's alive......., but easy. More for us city folk. It a different angle of a very well known spot. Can't say more. Didn't have time to get a "good" one. Still Good luck.

Don't know if it is the same track, but upon getting lost... around Otay, (future jokes posted by others --- inserted here... ) Looking from above:(sorry, got my bike in the picture...[tag-o-rama reference] After meeting manager... real nice guy..(name forgotten_starts with a J or G..) ... He will "babysit" your kids (10 and older), if you'd forgotten the key to your own bike... Apparently they will allow larger groups to camp/toy haul/5th wheel, etc .. out there,starting in March. ... BTW, only if well behaved.. like your dog(s), and kids, and drunks, obviously. Probably wifes too.. dunno. Don't tell me his name was John... I think, I could have remembered that!! Will try to pinpoint location from GPS, or on the web on next post.
