Very cool, Ken. I think you missed your true calling!
-
Was going to place this in the Informal Rides section. Definitely not SDAR. Happens a lot in the street bike community.

Santo Tomas to San Quintin ride report
Dan Diego replied to tvscum's topic in Baja Info, Upcoming Rides, Ride Reports, Photos, etc.
+2 That is my favorite Baja route. You guys did it right! -
That sounds good...tentatively in. I just can't "stand" too long as I'm a gimp these days (on crutches, not the Pulp Fiction one).

Sunday 10/2/16 Street Ride
Dan Diego replied to TdubLady's topic in Informal Local Rides & Who's Going Riding!
I just had a feeling that if Thumper Bob were involved, there'd be a breakfast stop at Major's! Sounds like a fun ride...take lots of photos for those of us who can't make it this time. -
See, now THAT is the new guy spirit.
-
The next one will be hosted by the guy who bragged that his grapefruit IPA was sooooooo much better than the Sculpin. And free. Now, who was that...?
-
This is prolly something Bags and Ken did! They showed up a little late and were out of breath.

SDAR descends on LA Mesa. Joinging Zubb (Kelly) @ Johnny B's we have The Kug, Jim, Bags, Spider and me. Good times with some truly cool people.
-
Would be nice to see you, Ken!
-
Followed you guys on FB. Looking forward to the photos and RR.
-
I'll be the guy with a green and black cast, either on crutches or on a knee scooter. Look for the Kug decal either way.

Police Motor Officer Competition - Coronado next weekend
Dan Diego replied to Oracle's topic in Open Discussion
I was talking to Loren about that. Just an incredible view of the sand and waves matched with perfect weather. What better place for a competition than America's Finest City? -
Police Motor Officer Competition - Coronado next weekend
Dan Diego replied to Oracle's topic in Open Discussion
Here with fellow SDAR member Radwor watching LB compete at Silver Strand He did great, of course. They're #1 in the 4-man competition and he will be winning the slow ride competition later. No word on the wheelie or stoppie contests... i tried out my knee scooter. The D606s and rear suspension helped on the sand. IMG_3335.MOV -
Motovational Photos - singe / couple at a time - not a thread location
Dan Diego replied to PastaPilot's topic in Miscellaneous Photos
This particular photo seems simple but it is extremely motivational to me. The photo represents the very first time my wife Dee had ever ridden a motorized 2-wheeler. After I provided a brief "how-to ride" intro, she nervously and confidently donned her riding gear and rode all over Helix HS's parking lot...solo. It was then that she scratched the surface of my passion. It was quite a moment. -
You do know what's worse that a biker or a LEO, right? The most sarcastic combo you'll ever find...

Husqvarna hand axe to match your bike
Dan Diego replied to Mikey777's topic in Equipment & Technical Forum
I like this ax. Could be an addition to my riding/camping gear. I travel with a machete strapped to the side of my bike. Never had any issues in Canada or Mexico. I gotta "chop wood" is my response at the checkpoints. But I've been looking at camp axes instead, mainly the usually suspects: SOG, Cold Steel, etc. To not raise alarm "axe murderer-style," it's gotta look innocuous (hammering in tent stakes, etc.). This Husky axe seems to fit the bill. -
Guilty as charged. But I feel as if I'm in good, er...bad company, with the SDAR crowd. They're a bunch of enablers.
