  1. Here are the coordinates from my gate photo: 32°49'33.5"N 116°24'28.0"W 32.825961, -116.407778
  2. Hello All, Don't get on here too much but some of you might know about the new gate at Thing Valley. Sunday I was coming down Thing from S1 and hit a brand new gate about a mile before the main gate at Fred Canyon turn off. Posted with "private property" signs. Seems strange as this is a public road?

    Decisions and looking for input

Hello Pokey151, That's a nice 790! I also have a 2019 790R with about 9k miles on it now. Couple of things, your bike still has the cat, so that's not a full exhaust. That's the Akra slip on which is a nice upgrade as it cost close to $1000. For the clutch that gold clutch lever down on the case is a Camel Adv clutch lever. They are a common add-on and makes the clutch take up smoother and not so grabby. It's hard to tell for sure but from the switch gear it looks like you also have the Cruise Control option too, which is awesome for hwy droning. Overall, that's a very good looking bike and a nice find. Over at Advrider.com there is a whole section dedicated to the 790/890 Adv. Tons of great information there: https://advrider.com/f/forums/parallel-world-790-890.106/ Also, one of the forum members there put together an FAQ on the bike with answers to pretty much all your questions and full downloads of the factory maintenance manual:https://790adventure.net/ There is a recall on the rear brake line for the 19's and I can't tell from your photo's if it has been done or not. Best to check with your dealer to make sure that has been done. Happy riding, Ed

3 of My Friends Got the 790 Adventure R

Hello All, That's my bike in the first pic. Long time BMW Boxer GS rider, but this time I was looking for something with less weight and bulk, but still more streetable than a single. Had a deposit down since January. I was #3 on the list and GP got 3, so I just made it. Next batch is due in November, but I believe those are all sold too. I'm just about due for my 600 service now, so first impressions are during break in. Mostly street and a few local fireroads, Engine is quite peppy for 799 cc's, suspension is real good, but the thing that really stands out with this bike is the electronics package. It has the quick shifter, cruise control, enduro abs (abs on front, lock rear), and something called "Rally Mode" This is the on the fly 9 way adjustable traction control "slip" adjustment. I know, who needs all this stuff on a dirtbike, but it all works pretty seamless and is a hell of a lot of fun. After first service it will be time to get into more technical off road riding and see how that goes. Huge thread over on Advrider.com in the "Orange Crush" section about the 790 for more info.
  5. Hello Dirt Scumby's, I'm recently signed up here, but have been on advrider.com for years. It was a pleasure riding with you guys to Mike's. I did a small ride report on advrider. Here's the link (yes, I stole a pic from here too). Feel free to add comments or pics to the report. Thanks again, and see ya on the trail. Mike's Report
