Does anyone have a reputable shop that has done a lot of doohickeys or a member who has vast experience with the job? All of my klrs have been done by Fred Hink at arrowhead and it gave me a reason to hangout in Moab, but Fred has retired, he was a master at this I watched him do it at least 3 times and it was a flawless operation without even draining the oil. Let me know if anyone has a suggestion. Thanks. Tom

I purchased this from amazon and love it, it has front and rear pressure with tire temperature, and programmable hi and low warnings for both, it also is rechargeable so no batteries or hard wiring, I’ve been using it for 2 weeks and love it, it also comes with 3 different mounting systems. I’ve never used these before but after 3 freeway flats and one that nearly put me down at 80+ on a new ninja in 08 when the rear tire came apart I decided I won’t ride without one anymore especially with the heavy loads of camping gear and luggage on multi week trips. I noticed the temp changes a lot with the load I’m carrying and I can adjust tire pressure to compensate and have now built a chart for load versus pressure for rear tire. I see they are out of stock but hopefully they will come back. There are other units available on amazon for more or less dollars but this is the one I’ve used and can only speak for it.

Love this chair, holds 320lbs and weighs only 3lbs, folds up nicely into small bag and assembles in seconds not minutes. I spend a lot of time on road trips and always hated my low back chair that weighed 5 lbs and only held 250lbs, this chair even rocks like a rocker (flexes) and the price is right for the quality. I’ll give a full review on its durability when I return from new foundland in May.

I’ve used these for thousands of miles, the little silicone lock pads are kind of cheesy and only last a certain amount of time, I have had to order new ones on the road other than that they work much better than anything else out there.

I just purchased 2 sets of Dunlop trailsmart tires for $80 a set from amazon (chapparal) that is like 1/4 of the original cost of these tires, I have ran them before back in 2016 but I forgot how great these tires are with a heavy load in the turns and in wet and snowy weather. I went into town today on a new set and they performed amazing on montezuma grade and then in the rain and snow in Santa Ysabel coming home today. Just thought I would pass this great deal on to other members. If you do a lot of dirt trails these tires suck but on 10% flat firetrails they do ok but are really a street tire and wet weather.

Just thought I’d throw this out there, I’m going in April date is flexible, i have access to free lodging in bentonville Arkansas, Clarksville Tennessee, Cincinnati Ohio and Boston so that would save some money and give us repair stops if needed, so all lodging is on me. There will be a 3 day stop in Tennessee for pontoon boat fishing on me! The rest is up to you, the ferries aren’t cheap we will take 2, one from Portland Maine to Nova Scotia, and one from Sydney to new foundland, I stay at memorial university in the dorms for $30 a night which is insane cheap for st Jon. I would like to take 21 days for this trip but am flexible. I e done this twice now and with free lodging I would estimate $2-3k for entire trip but you could easily spend $5 if not careful. Just pm me if your interested.

I remember riding with several guys from the club a few years back and we got stopped by ranger and some tickets were written, I also remember him looking at pipes and tires for dot and USF’s approval

Ktmrad, you don’t count! Your such a damn good rider on those beasts you could run crotch rocket tires and still stay up, I’ve ridden with you. I remember laying that big ass Africa down at speed and that scared the ---- out of me.

In all fairness my bike is a trek remedy 7 that is ultra lightweight

I built a 2018 and rode it to Arkansas I loved it, especially once I got to Arkansas (bentonville) and rode the ozarks, I will admit passing on highways was a bitch and wind from trucks sucked ( literally) but it was a fun death defying experience, I sold that bike back to dealer though on another one since I didn’t trust selling it to a friend after that long run.
