After doing an update to Mapsource, i was able to get it to work with the Montana. Much easier and user friendly than basecamp, just a heads up

But it's a DRY heat!

I've ridden most of my life.. Lots of track days, etc.... Just 2 years ago i finally stepped up and invested in a real "School" and did the Jason Pridmore Star school. I learned more in those 2 days then in my 20 years of doing it wrong from advice of my buddies that sound similar to what you are describing. I enjoyed the school so much, i have been back twice since. I made a lot of excuses to not pay for a school, and just listened and followed to those faster than me. Learned A LOT of bad habits, that i am STILL trying to break. I would strongly suggest a legit school vs having your buddy teach you, if it all possible. MSF would be a great place to start, 2 of my friends are instuctors there and i can give you their info.. Again, i have seen MANY MANY newer street riders develop bad habits really quickly, and results not usually good. If you start of proper, you will learn and progress better habits. Glad to see your AGATT for sure! Just remember, that doesnt make you invincible! Enjoy the bike, and don't hesitate to post up questions here. A lot of good experienced riders here! Call me skeptical....but I wouldn't count on that.... I worked in this field for years.. Magic happens when things NEED to get done... The power of Vegas casino owners possibly losing tourism dollars, etc... I'll willing to bet the first round of drinks at the Tree Bar on it!

There are a couple articles floating around, i will try to dig them up.. One of them mentioned a return to AMA for SOME races.. His ADHD is worse than mine, and his schedule is INSANE, i HIGHLY doubt he would compete in a SEASON, but my guess is he will make some guest appearances at some MX and SX races this year. Villapoto is out all year, and they need some huge names to get people excited again... That's my guess here... As for being too demanding on the body... He is a freak and i don't think that will be an issue.. Buddy and i were eating Tacos in Ensenada in 2007 before the 1k. He (didnt realzie it was him) sat down with us and chit chatted for a bit while also eating tacos. Very cool, humble, down to earth cat.. Was the year he caught the Jefferies Class 1 car on fire....

Yeah, varies depending on with who.. The usual group of hooligans i ride with, we have known and raced MX and supermoto together for awhile. We tend to goof off, tap each other, ocassionally kick each other over if we are going slow enough, etc.... We all know each other and are comfortable doing so and its all in good fun. So yeah... Might not wanna kick someone you just met over as you pass him on the trail! HA! I am the same.. If i am riding with someone i dont know or have never ridden with, if they arent comfortable with me being real close out of the dust, i am way back behind it.. Would possibly be good discussion at beginning of ride, riders meeting... Don't want to freak out a newer rider, or piss off an experienced rider (that might not be into clowning around) that thinks youre an ahole! My .02

WHY WASNT THIS POSTED BEFORE I BOUGHT ALL MY RR STUFF????????? Oh wait.... It Was! Reading comrehension fail!!! I have a nice SRC (Scala) setup for my STREET helmet that does all of the above perfectly but doesnt work with the SDAR type comms. Digging the SENA idea, but still messing with the RR setup to see if i can get it to my liking. Thanks for info Kevin

Silly question but how long you holding the power button for? I thought mine was broke too, but realized you have to hold it for an oddly long time to get it to power up.. My .02

I have this: Ordered this: Basically going to splice off the speakers and splice in the earbud jack. Should work in theory anyway. Hmmmmm Cake

Why solder/unsolder? If you're going to use earbuds, why not use this? Because they lacks the INPUT for an MP3 player. I've searched their site and done find a harness with an input for music, and output for earbuds. Trying to have my cake and eat it too. Damn i love me some cake!

I won't have comms for a little bit.. Ear things way too thick and not shaving a brand new helmet after thinking about it. I ordered the pigtail to use my own ear buds and when it gets here I am going to attempt to unsolder the ear pieces and solder in the pigtail.
