The BMW ride....well it started out that way
dirtdiva replied to dirt dame's topic in 1 to 3 Day Ride Write-Ups, Stories and Photos
Was good to get back out and ride with SDAR folks again. Hixon trail is always a good time and we finally made it to Mimi's "Enchanted Forest" without a rain/snow encounter . Glad we opted to take the dirt back from Anza to Warner Springs - rejuvenated us for that last slab section home from Warner Springs.... 225 miles for the day and pulled into the driveway just after sundown..... Next ride though - more dirt, less pavement -
Well I'd do a rain dance but I'm still too stiff and sore from last Friday's little "dirt encounter". What is that wrestling move where the guy body slams his opponent to the ground and then throws himself on the opponents back - yep, that's what my Kawi did to me. The bike's all put back together so If I am as well by Friday and the ride day happens, you know I'm there.

Oh yes they do .... and don't ask me how I know

I think I need the password for the Members section. Bruce and I joined last year, I assume by paying the dues, but never got a password.....

Guilty as charged!!!!!

Thanks for capturing my finest moment . This was actually my bike suggesting that maybe it wasn't such a good idea to follow Bikeslut on the single track..... Next time I should listen to the bike - haha, probably not!!!

whining.... are you whining..... There's no whining in dirtbiking..... Haha gee, I wonder who that might have been Bruce and I had a great time today. Thanks to BS, Paul and everyone....

Hmmmm - maybe.... Bruce is still recovering from a bad crash at a race couple weeks ago. This might be a good first ride back for him to test out the sore spots - and there are alot of them!

Day In The Dirt 11/26/11
dirtdiva replied to dirt dame's topic in 1 to 3 Day Ride Write-Ups, Stories and Photos
Hey Mimi - thanks for starting the post and the pictures. It was good to have you out there with us on Saturday and your pictures, as usual, are great. This was my first MX race and it was an amazing experience. I was out there most of the day on Friday for practice and did the women's race on Saturday. Finished 2nd (out of 9) in my class - YAY for me - and had the time of my life. The track was super fun and the track conditions were great. Tons of people were there and the weather was beautiful. Can't wait to do it again next year. Here are the only pics I have.... Friday - the girls are ready to practice - Anna, me, Laurie, Becky and Christi... Saturday - now we are ready to race.... Can you see the huge smile on my face.... (I know, poor pic quality - it's a picture of a picture) -
Good job Deb!!! I know what you mean about those rock gardens - bike seems to gain about 100 lbs and seat seems to elevate about 6 inches. Thought about doing the ride this year but ended up racing "Day in the Dirt" instead.... post to come. Nice pics!!! Thanks for posting - definitely on my list of rides to do.....

A Track Day. Relaxing with friends
dirtdiva replied to SCHWINN's topic in 1 to 3 Day Ride Write-Ups, Stories and Photos
I guess there's no denying that I was there since that is my blonde head in the first picture - haha. It was a great day, as it always is at Duffyland, all the way around and I always leave that place with a huge smile on my face... and, oh, yes, .... a VERY dirty bike. Thanks to Christi and John for the great hospitality!!!! -

Well, seeing those pics makes me even more sorry we couldn't make this ride. Lucky for us, though, we did get wind of the "track day" option and took full advantage of that - it was alot closer to home and fit within our time constraints. Sounds like it was a great day had by all. Let us know when you do another Jacumba ride - it looks like my kinda stuff.... OK, I'm already regretting I said that -
Is that how you remember it. hmmmm, that doesn't sound like something I'd say..... Nice video there MTB guy. Very impressive!!
