    Goldentyres

230 series seem to be popular with a lot of D37 guys. Wonder what the difference is between the GT 230 and the GT 232 http://goldentyrewest.com/product/enduro-gt-230-rear/ http://www.kevinscycle.com/tires/goldentyre/golden-tyre-gt-232n-super-x

    Name the rider

    One word hint: controversial
  3. By chance you happen to know Jerry J. from Canyon Lake. I ride with him sometimes. We haven't ridden in a while. I think he's off Wildcat Canyon Rd or something?

  5. You are correct. Furthermore, based on the mechanical features noted in the images of the first post of this thread, those are actually bolts
  6. Not all threaded fasteners come loose, some contain proprietary locking features.
  7. Tide chart in this link should help you time it http://www.surfline.com/surf-forecasts/spot/punta-san-jacinto-shipwrecks_58941/
  8. Kai! Dude is the man, the myth, and the legend. Good dude, ridden with him many times. "Now this is livin" - Kai
  9. Right on, good write up. That place is so fun. I think about this riding destination a lot. We usually do an annual ride but I think there needs more KM rides, just tough with everyone's busy schedule and it being a 5 hour destination. Here's a couple pics from previous KM ride. That's me in the black gear. "Now this is livin" - Kai Oso Meadow
  10. Meh, so jelly Was it like chocolate cake out there? Husky electrical have problems in the rain???
  11. Man, I miss the speedway action. Has there been any sightings of "Gene the Danc'n machine"
  12. This sounds on point. I'd be down, but I definitely have a scheduling conflict. "Generally we can do some hard trails in the morning, then some woods/single track and finish with some high speed easy fire-gravel roads. Also mix in a quick burger and gas stop mid-day."

Motion Pro - Trail Bead Buddy

Never leave home without the bead buddy.
  16. Thing Valley, pretty sure that's where McGrath's ranch is located.
  17. First pic with the Husky, looks like the top of Alessandro? We did this ride a few weeks ago, here's my buddy going down that chunky section at the top.
  18. I ride out there near Thomas Mountain / 74 area, curious to see this powder trail. We usually ride over by Red Mountain, Hixon, and Alesandro.

    Eddie, awesome, thanks for sharing
  20. Lurking and interested. On a "small" bike and prefer more dirt than road. I did a Big Bear camp ride few weeks back, Kookamunga to Fawnskin, we cut right through the burn area of the Blue Cut fire while they were still fighting it. Rode through Silverwood Lake, through Arrowhead and camped one night at Hannah Flats. I will post the ride report later

  22. Did this ride for the first time. Dulzura to Jacumba hot springs. We did some parts of the trails that lead into Carrizo Gorge. We also hit up a few single track sections of McCain Valley. Border scene is real down there. In the second picture, take notice of the strategically placed water jugs (one in the upper left corner is hard to see), put there by desert aide volunteers (http://www.borderangels.org/). Guy I know worked with SD County Search & Rescue for 15 years and was telling me that many of the informants and Coyotés tell their people that the water jugs are a Border Patrol trap, intended to trigger motion sensors. This belief apparently has led to many deaths, as he's seen many people die within 100 yards from water jugs. Kinda sketchy riding down there, we ran into one rancher who thought we were drug runners. We ended up talking to him for a while and got a lot of good info on the area. He was telling us he had signs on his property that said “If you can read this, you are no longer trespassing, you are now a target”. Anyway, it was interesting to say the least, especially riding along the border wall and knowing how controversial the subject is in American politics. It was noticeable that there isn’t always border wall connection in some spots along the border. Looking north from the Valley of the Moon summit, 32.63100°N / 116.0788°W
