X47B UCAS....Unmanned Stealth Combat Air System Video

Very cool! -
+1on the XCMH. I ride a lot of street to get to dirt, and that front lasts as long and is less squirrely at highway speed than the others I've tried.

I had a pan 32 x 36 x 6 with a 1.5 NPT nipple built for a water heater relocation. Reasonable cost. i don't think a disassebled fork will fit in that oil drip pan for cars looks like it will work for bench top liner though.

Klim Inversion. The latest model has a palm with leather.

Here's an article from a blog I follow. Basic survival. Hydrate. Stay warm.

63 year old rider dead after collision with LEO. Definitely an ADV type bike. Exhaust on right.

I'm sure the cop feels like crap. On the other hand, going from a dead stop at a red light to U turn with lights and siren w/o taking reasonable care for those around you is pretty goddamned irresponsible. He SHOULD feel like crap. Then, of course, there's the officer who spoke to the reporter reminding everyone that the public is responsible for getting out of the way. Damn shame. Rocket was a quirky store, but I liked it.

Oh GOD - There goes the neighborhood.

You wouldn't think so, but that last 300 miles are a lot longer than they look from the 700 mile mark. -

IBA SaddleSore 1000 on a Dual Sport

I did one in Dec 09 with a 4 of the guys from Ride For the Heart. Worst day EVER on my R12R. In order to meet them and start with my receipt and mileage info, we started at the Mobil at Clairemont Mesa/15. From there, we did 163 - 8 - 10- AZ 77 - US 60 - 10 - 15 - 163 - to same gas station. The guys I was with stopped only long enough to get gas for me and the one HD with 150 mile limit. The rest had fuel cells built into their bags. They all had full dressed HDs with serving areas, drink service, and heated seats. I dewatered at every gas stop. They would be waiting for me with their helmets on and bikes running. I still think they were all wearing those condom catheters. We stopped for 45 minutes at the HD dealership in Apache Junction. Around Quartzsite I mutinied and let them know I needed a break and something hot to drink. At hwy speeds of 75-80, it took 15 hours. The IBA guys say it's safe riding like this. I think they're delusional. IF I were to do it again, I'd take a 30 minute break at a diner after every gas stop. IBA rules Archive of Wisdom -
You're in my prayers. You're tough and it's beatable.

Not my favorite "fast guy" road. Too much traffic. Too many hardleys. And I regularly see CHP/Sheriffs. Plus, you get all those damn dirt riders pulling out of that road to Corral. It really is all about seconds in a crash. If either had been help up by traffic or at the stop signs.

2011's ebike was good for about 60 miles of city/hwy riding. 2012's was good for about 80. Those numbers are pretty close to actual for Brammo empulse. I'm not sure there is a conventional comparison to that kind of jump. The Brammo guy tells us that it's now possible to ride from San Diego to Seattle with public charging stations available off the 5. He DIDN'T say how long it would take.

Therein lies the problem. I'd be pretty upset if I shelled out 10K or more for a bike this year only to learn that next year's model improved battery efficiency by a factor of X.

These are the guys I ride with: Camera ready and eager to say something to help. Of course if I were seriously injured, I believe they'd do more than point and laugh. Then again, when I broke my foot and I'm scooting on my ass down the Drop Off, someone shouts out, "My dog does that when it's got worms. Are you sick?"

I haven't see anything on any bike crashes on the tv sites or ut for a week or two - and I've come across some serious crashes this past week.

As has been mentioned, Paul Lima, of GP Motorcycles was involved in an incident at the new Elsinore MX track last Sunday where he sustained some potentially life changing injuries. After the incident he was transported to an area hospital, and just last night was moved to the Sharp Memorial Rehab Center. The facility is located at 2999 Health Center Drive, San Diego, CA 92123. Paul is in Room 151. Visiting hours are from 12PM to 8PM. Nurses Station: 858-939-3066 Paul's Room: 858-939-4736 I have spoken to his wife, Erin, who said that Paul would be really grateful for any visitors. "He's going stir crazy." As far as she knows, there are no restrictions on visitation. If you know Paul or are interested in helping cheer up a fellow rider, drop in and say hi. UPDATE: 4/12/12 Update on Visitors for Paul Lima...from Erin (Paul's Wife) - Paul is doing well and glad to be at Sharp Rehab. He wants to get the most out of his time here, and wants to spend as much time in physical therapy as possible. Therefore, he would like to limit visits between 5pm-8pm. This should come as no surprise to anyone who knows Paul. Thank you for your continued support and prayers.
