While heading home, I had a hornet wasp fly in my helmet just below my googles going 65 mph and it felt like being hit by a hammer. That pic was the next day after the first round of meds. I plan to carry an Epi-pen and Prednisone from now one.

Her husband and family asked if we knew and how we had heard about her passing. They were together 58 years. He talked to me for a bit about her.

Hey guys! Meant to check in when I got home.......got a bad bee bite(?) about 20 miles from Tecate and my face is so messed up, I will not be posting photos. Just hope more benedryl will start working so I don't have to go to ER. Thanks for having my back and thanks Kkugs for another awesome Baja adventure. Nice to meet everyone. Let's ride again!

SteveDD.. you won't need a bright headlight the sun will still be shining plus I need you to get my clean air filter on at the border....KTM's are not girl friendly. Please? Dirtdiver...I know they went down to get the bikes today and am still waiting for the full story. Scary stuff from the pics I have seen. I am in for camping Friday night. I just need to make sure my pooch is covered so count me 80-90% in. I can PM you tomorrow. I can meet you at the border anytime after 4:00. If I am camping with you or the start time is a tad later I don't need the tracks, I am good and ready to go. ... Fuzzynugs....it was serious and he is an experienced Baja rider, said it came out of nowhere.

Def. in!!! I am packed(tent & sleeping bag) and bike is almost ready to go. So far I plan to leave Saturday...but I may change my mind as it gets closer. If you change the start time will it be earlier? Ken can you send the tracks if you know your route so I can load them in my GPS, really just need the RSV to Laguna Hanson....think I have the rest. FYI, I think we may hit some muddy spots. My friend was heading back on Compadre Sunday and got hit by a 4 foot flash flood wave. He was dragged 200 yards on the bike, close to drowning and close to breaking a femor. KTM 990 is lost....luckily & thankfully he is alive and well with a many more Baja stories to tell. I almost went riding out to Laguna Hanson on Sunday and thankful I didn't... If anyone is camping Friday, let me know I am interested.

Thanks for starting this thread because I just assumed my insurance my license covered my bike. Baja Bound just called me to renew my policy and I had purchased through them with Macfre company and it does covers motorcycles. The difference is that they only cover up to $40k, 80K and over the last year there have been new suggested limits to cover 150k in the event of death. The other two license policies they offer do not cover motorcycles but offer hgher coverage. If I take a car, I normally insure it anyways for full coverage and in the past have insured my main bike for the year. Hope that helps.

Thanks Arnie for putting this ride together. It was a fun ride. I lost my ride buddy at the border crossing. I think he crossed at the Ride Ready lane and I didn't know if you needed a passport card so I kept moving over. I waited awhile but never saw him.

I ended up running into the Baja Beach Bash at last year at Coyote Cals. Everyone seemed to be having a blast. I think most of the money for that ride gets donated to the local schools.
