Vagabundo, you went with out me...? I thought it was too cold, either way I had a blast on the beaches of Brasil. I can't believe you found the helmet he lost 2 years ago. Looks like a blast, I want to see all of it.

Oh.. that was a funny moment CID.....he never complained about sleeping a tad more comfortably that night and I happily woke up to him changing my flat. I loved riding with Dana, he always had my back, my bike and pulled me out of many dumb self-imposed moments. Bless his heart and he never really gave me a hard time about any of it. May he Ride in Peace. Why 12 tires? To represent all the flats he got on his Cabo trip-1 street tire to represent the street bike taco run, we never had a chance to take after he got his new bike. If you stop and pay your respects, please send me a photo. If you make your way to Mike's, please sign the little "pink" book for his family. If you knew Dana, you would know that he would laugh so hard that I made his little black book-"pink". There is a tire marker in a zip lock bag behind the sign to write on the tires. If you visit, take him tacos, beer and tequila and some photos for me. Special thanks to Vey's Powersports, Carrera Delante Sietesietesiete andMikes Sky Rancho. It is with a heavy heart, I say good-bye (for now) to a close friend, a Baja brother, an avid adventurist. Dana Neisler remember....there are no flat tires in heaven. I talked to Randy and a close family friend. A memorial ride will be scheduled in about two months, a plaque will be made for Dana and a photo picture frame for his family. If anyone is interested in making a donation, let me know.

Now that I have these great bikes, I have no way to transport them if I need to. Any advice on a carrier rack? which brand? I am trying to find the best carrier rack, I drive a Honda Fit, I am thinking of getting a double rack so I have the option to carry both bikes or a friend's. 1) Bike Xt 225 Dry Weight 108kg (238 lb) Details Length 2,100mm (82.7") Width 805mm (31.5") Height 1,160mm (45.7") Wheelbase 1,350mm (53.1") Seat Height 810mm (31.9") 2) Bike 2009 G BMW 650 GS Dry Weight: 387 lbs. Here is the update I received tonight. Dana was brought stateside around 6:00 PM. His family will do a private viewing on Thursday and he will be cremated with a memorial service to happen at a later date. Can anyone PM the GPS coordinates where the accident happened? I'd like to visit there soon. If anyone is interested in going. Update- I have the coordinates...thank you.

I am interested. Can't go this weekend but most of the other weekends looks open.

I did talk to a close family friend and brought up wanting to do a memorial ride. She was certain Dana's brother would want to come so I told her we would plan it when it was good for him and the family. Dana always talked to me about wanting to get his brother out there with us...about his bike that he bought and didn't ride enough.

I am devastated to hear the sad news.......I really can't wrap my brain around it being true. I just talked to him a couple times last week......we were making ride plans. He was excited about going with the "fast guys" to do single track and Simpson's trail on Sunday. Dana and I were instant friends from the moment we met. What a stand up guy, he always had a smile on, good stories to share and had my back on the trail. Ride in peace Dana....... Does anyone know how to get a hold of family or brother up north? I want to attend the funeral and share photos with his family. if so, please contact me, Dana sent me this on December 30,,,,,he said "we need to do our Tecate Taco run.....it's too shiny". He had been talking about getting a street bike for months...... Lagrimas.......Can't get the photo to post...I will try later.
