Dirt lot for my kids to ride?

I think so, just 8 to buckman springs, then morena stokes (amazing supermoto road) leads right there right? I used to like to park down low and just ride up, but last couple of years I've gone in the pine valley way. Needless to say, if anyone else needs to get their christmas vacation kids out of the house, I'll be there probably around 10:30. it went pretty well, but for young absolute newbies a flat lot would be easier. the kids had a tendency to target fixate on the hay. Tommorow I'm going to try to find a flat dirt area off the 905 and give that a go. with a little more experience the coral track will be super fun for them.

Dirt lot for my kids to ride?

I can't remember where the campground is. should i just show up to four corners and look at the map there? i just google map'd it, is this the track? http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=32.714400,-116.572929&spn=0.11,0.18&q=32.714400,-116.572929(Corral+Canyon+OHV+Area)
  7. got the kids a crf50 for xmas. Because I only have a couple of half days available mon/tue i'm looking for some close areas to ride in the dirt in san diego. I've heard lark canyon is good, but that's too far. i really just need a little dirt area. I'm broke after xmas so somewhere free, and the kids will be trading the same bike so going in circles would be idea. so far my only idea is: - pine valley exit for the mellow little dirt area before the real trail riding heading into coral canyon - coral canyon, 4 corners area Anyone got a backyard i can ride in?
  8. Let's see if we can get a bunch of sdar's out here again... 10/9: Saturday Adams with dirt #8! These are always a good time. For those that are new and want to give track riding a go we've got one spot left. 10/6: Wednesday, We've got a full private class, but if you got a bike come down and ride with us  bbbbbrrrraaaaapppppp!!!
  9. I'm digging the forum upgrade! Anyhoot, We'll be doing our usual Saturday with dirt section open at 1pm at adams motorsports park on Sept 4th. $199 for Bike, trackfees, training, and photography. In Addition, AMA pro/local fast guy Matt Stewart will be joining us as a guest instructor, offering a riding clinic, and individual feedback. Cost if you have your own bike is only $99 including trackfee's. If you just want to show up and ride, that's good too. These Saturdays are always a blast!

    Saturday 6/12 at Adams

i'll be there wed. call in sick!
  11. This was the most fun trackday I remember. Perfect weather, lots of guys but not too crowded. Plenty of action/crashes with nobody getting hurt. I'm heading back wednesday! cesar always looks cool in the air, kinda crossed up wheelie style: the adams supermoto ghost. rumor has it it was a kid who died on this very dirt section in 01' super luiz! me "racing" the always polite Kevin: many corners were parties like this one: showing kevin the fast lines wheeeeeeee this looks scarily reminiscint of how evil knievil "landed" I let him by so he could feel what it's like to be in front: young racers take note of this perfect riding position... Here's a recommended mod for Jay's next trackday. just playin mate, I am sorry for not getting pics of ya.
  12. We're heading back to adams for another saturday with the dirt section open. woohoo! our slots are booked, but if you have your own bike come on down!

    Last week's supermoto fun

i went last weekend with a knobbie front and my 50/50 rear and while i could tell the front was really holding me back it was still tons of fun. i'll do it with an agressive dual sport tire, but full knobs are really scary, you can feel it go, and then catch (hopefully) on the next knob. not very confidence inspiring! i think it's worth throwing on some streetish rubber and going for it. i had a blast on phils bone stock dr650.
  14. Rode with josh hayes, mellisa paris, gary trachy, and a bunch of other really fast people! had a blast. also did alot of wrenching, ie pic one yay somebody got a pic of me! here i am passing josh hayes Mellisa Paris and my buddy Mike
