  1. It was a great trip Kelly,  did we ever travel, I think Tuba City was the hi-light of the trip for me when I had a drunk Indian come up to me and explained that he had been in a car accident with his mom last night and she did not make it and pasted at the Hospital early in the morning.  I told him I was sorry to hear that, then he asked me for some money, I told him I did not have any, then he pointed to a ATM machine and said you can get some money from that.  Oh Brother!  Tuba City does not even have a Hospital.

I really enjoyed the pirate camping on the BLM land outside of the Canyon Park.

Johns wife is the hardest working lady I have ever met! she works so hard on that small farm,  who gets up at 0 4:3O to milk 9 goats and 4 cows by hand the old fashion way.  Then she feeds the chickens and seven dogs.  They live in the middle of nowhere in Paulden AZ where there is a place you still can find clean country liven.

  2. I am putting this video up just to share a big memory!  I plan on doing this trip again in the summer of 2019, this time I plan on doing some of the ride different,  smaller back country roads. The planning has already begun.  The only way to do this trip is camping the whole way.  What do you have to say Diego?

I need to plan a trip because I just had to cancle my trip for this weekend because of an IRS audit at my work

    ENJOY THE VIDEO!

So much will depend on size, strength, skill level, riding type (i.e. 80/20 road / dirt) etc. Generally speaking, I'd personally not even consider an 800 GS for two up riding (or the soon to be 790 either). The bike is just not substantial enough, IMO. If I was going take my wife on a two up adventure, with a desire to lay down some miles, hit some dirt here and there, pack the bike with camping gear etc, I'd seriously consider the Yamaha Tenere or a KTM 1090R or 1190R. AT would be 3rd or 4th IMO. And a 1200 GS would not even be on my radar...top heavy and underpowered.

You are right! I owned the 800 GSA,  It is not a two up bike at all.  Plus to make my bike worthy I had to dump $$$ in the suspension to make it work right off roading with a load.

September 2018 I'm sure you mean.

If you're going that way, you should do Usal Road, the Lost Coast and the Kings Range.

7 or 8 days ?  In my opinion, not enough to fully enjoy it....I did a similar trip years ago...took 18 days for a very enjoyable ride with maximum twisties.

If you have your tracks PM them to me.

  5. This ride will be for a full seven or eight days( I can combined the weekend in the middle).   I will be leaving the first or second week of September 2017,  Will be traveling up the one to Washington then loading the bike on a fairy over to Whidbey Island for one night( we can do the island in one day).  Trip will also include riding the Olympia Peninsula in Washington and the fairy over to pikes place.  This is a beautiful ride with some of the most breathtaking sights.   I left a two week window for those who would like to go so you can make it.   I am going to start making camping reservations now at KOA, and other sites.   Please let me know soon if you are interested.   The cost of the ride will be inexpensive, gas, food, and split the camp site. 7-or-8 days should only cost $500 to $600.  As a reminder I do like bourbon, tequila and cold beer.  That always screw up my budget.
