Is it safe to leave a vehicle at the Otay meeting spot? Or is it just best to meet at your place.

Welcome, I am new to the site . I plan on going on my first ride with some of the members this Saturday, hope to kick-up some dust with someday.

I don't know what good group size is for the ride, we have 4 now that I will be with. 2 experts, 1 good intermediate and 1 new guy. You can jump in with us or I heard its easy to hook up with a group out there. That would be great, I do not want to slow you guys down. Are any of you going to do a pre-run before the dash. The reason I ask, I will be out in plaster city over february 13, 14th doing a fifty mile run both days. Maybe we could hook-up before the dash. by the way when I was in 5th grade I wanted a Hodaka so bad but did not have the money for one, I had to settle for a trail honda for my first bike.

I am looking to find a group that I can ride the desert dash with, I am an intermediate rider who is asking if anyone on this forum would have room for me to ride with. I am not trying to finish this DD in first place, I just want to enjoy a whole new kind of riding that I have never done before. I do make one promise, that after the ride I will have a cooler full of Ice cold stone IPA to share with a smile.

I Know tom, he sells a fish butter for your fishing plastics, and it works. If you go to bloodydecks.com you can see a fish cooking show that he does out of his store off of marina blvd.

My son got an invite to go watch the Parker Desert race this weekend , so that has canceled my plans for Plaster City. I am in for this Saturday. The rain has left the forecast.

I am in for this ride on Saturday, my sons plans have changed for Plaster City. I do not think that you will have to worry about rain on Saturday ride.

Will be out at plater city with my son, I will try and come by and introduce son and myself . Have a good one with the kids, that is what it is all about.

Would like to ride the rail road tracks into the hills, never done that before, has anyone done this? It is an open invitation to anyone that would like to join. I will be going with my son.

my sons bike is not plated, nor is the cops,mine is. I have been told that it is not a problem with the rangers if you take the wash just before you get to split mt rd. I am sure that with all the rain next weeks ride will be a blast, nothing like some good old mud. Are you talikng about the rr through Carrizo Gorge or the one between PC and Spit Mountain. The later is pretty boring (straight road). If you're going to follow the tracks up into Carrizo you will be in the state park (not the ohv park). You're not likely to see a ranger in that area but if you do he will not be a happy camper. I will be going to split Mt I would love to go through the Carrizo Gorge. My son does not have plate. send me an e-mail about Carrizo Gorge, that sounds fun and would like to do that ride.

Not this coming Sat but next. I have a retired cop coming to, he is fun and likes IPA, he rides a wr250. I understand the sports, my daughter plays soccer and field hockey and when my son is playing football time is limited.

Hi to everyone from Dan I found this new site and thought I would join. A little bit about myself as a rider. I have been riding dirt bikes since the age of 12 and I am appoching the age of 49. I have had many types of bike in my life from a Husky 250, 360, Bultaco, ect. At the age of 45 I road my last vintage mx race in Carlsbad and had the privlage of getting my butt kicked by Brad Lackey on my Husky 360. One of my favorite times that I have currently is ridding with my son Joe and have been doing that for the last seven years. I currently own a KTM exc 450. I have never done a dual sport ride in my life and would like to do so (I would do a dual sport ride with Joe but not old enough). I try not to get airbore anymore because of all of the past broken bones and have a family I need to support, anymore making it home in one piece is a good thing, I can deal with a sore butt or knees and some motrin. I am hoping to meet so nice people on this site to share some ridding with. I know that people are particular in who they ride with and can assure you that I am not a jerk, like to have fun and I do like cold beer after a long ride, espeically Stone's IPA. Dan
