Hail --I am signed up for Sat only. Yes we could ride togeather at the event. I am going to be doing my own thing on the way up ( camping-exploring ) and will probley ride on my own Sun and start heading home. So we need to get contact infro before the event. Later Ken

Well Baja is a mixture of everything.Paved roads,dirt roads,jeep roads,sandwashes,whoops,single track. You always have to be on your game because you might drop in a hole,get kicked sideways on a root,have a head on collision with a bike or a military Humvee. Its pretty good riding! You can go forever if you want. No boundaries. Mileage wise my guess about a 140-160 mile loop. Depends on how many side trails you take. You need a passport,well prepped bike and at least 100 mile fuel range to be on the safe side. Its looking like more people will be able to go in May -June some time, so maybe I will pick a date for later.

What a Bum Hey Kug, try and fit this one in. C-diddy, TK, me and the Kug will make a great start to this ride. It ,s too early to commit to this trip. I am going for two weeks this summer and I may not have any more time or budget to do this one. I could ride a few days with you though.

I just got done watching The Amazing Race on TV. It kinda reminded me of todays ride. We all just kept plugging along --helping any one that needed help or encouragement. What a great group. Thanks

Highjack --Has any one figured out or noticed that the GPS cords. are different between Spot and Mapsourse. What I am trying to say is a few weeks back I rode in Barstow. When I got home I copyed GPS cords from my Spot Map . Then I went to Mapsource to try to find them and the numbers did not make any sense. Like this Spot 35.02161 116.96779 The first one is close but the 116.96 does not exist Any ideals

Three of showed up for the ride. Bagster,Craig Mayer,me. Later we met up with a guy ( forgot his name ) He saw that we were riding when he woke up and rode from Temucla to meet us. DR650-We chatted for while and he headed down fish creek to OW. Later we came upon some F800Gses in a wash . We kind of talked them to back track. It got real knarly for big bikes. Great weather -sunny warm -fun

Craig -I don,t think it is to bad -mostly sand washes then hard packed roads closeer to Dos Cabases Do you need to car pool ? Just got done watching the SX --Fun Fun

Well I said I was not going to do it but I have to. I am canceling my ride. Basicly no one was going to show up. I am going to contat a few SDAR riders that showed some interest. Lack of riders -cost of taking my trailer out their- Weather may be dicy Sat. Have to try it another time. Thanks for the interest ! :tease:

I am thinking of taking my F800GS to go and watch some of the races at Rynoland tomorrow. Mixture of dirt and pavement. Should be a awesome day with good views of snow in the Mtns. Basically just a casual ride to get out of the house. A lot dirt roads around anza. I can meet anyone at the Park and Ride off of El Norte in Escondido --lets say 8:30 AM --maybe stop for a lite breakfast on the way up.
