  3. Hey Bikeslut, I can leave about 0615-0630 and drive straigt there, so I should be there about 0715-0730. How that? I don't think I can do any better. Let me know where to meet.
  4. I already rejetted my DRZ, really feel the extra power on road, but just getting into the offroad so I haven't been hittin it too hard yet and the tire don't allow a very good hook up. As for the ride, that about as early as I can go.... wait maybe I can figure a way. I will get back to you. What time is idael for you to leave your house?
  5. Sweet. I will take you up on the DRZ offer. I won't be able to leave San diego till about 0730. So I can be at alpine about what...45 minutes later so about 0815-0830. Let me know where you want to meet. Oh yeah I have a jetting kit for a DRZ400/KLX400 for sale in the wanted/for sale area if you know anybody who is interested.
  6. Bikeslut are suggesting that I ride your DRZ? If so I would definetly take you up on it. Just make sure you insurance is up to date. lol, just joking. That would be pretty cool. Where is Lark at and what type of riding is it? Sand, hardpack, rocks?
  7. Hey guys, I need to get some riding gear. I went out this weekend with combat boots, blue jeans a leather street bike jacket and helmet. I ended up getting beaten up by brush and limbs on the legs, and alot of dust in the eyes. I need some good boots(size 8) some pants (32 waist) and a good helmet and goggles. Does anyone have a gear shop to reccomend? Thanks.
  8. Great ride, thanks to girtdame, bikeslut and the rest of the pack. I enjoyed the ride. It was sweet to see how the SDAR's ge things done. I had never been on the tight single track w/all the brush and what not, it was challenging. I learned some valuable lessons about what you need to hang with you guys(hand guards, goggles and skills). I have been on the internet ordering gear for the bike. I think I have most of the stuff I need for it, but haven't gotten any gear for myself yet because I want to go try if on to make sure it fits right. I am thinking about going to Cycle gear as reccomended by many. Anyways see you next time and thanks again.

  10. I had a feeling it was something like that.
  11. Hi guys, DRZrider here. I am new to the dualsporting. I've been in SD for about 9 years and just recently bought a used 07 DRZ400S. I am an average rider, no mad skills here. I still have the origional trailwings on so I won't be able to hang with anything too exciting. Additionally I don't have a truck, but I don't mind riding a ways to get to the area. I have saturday and sunday off. I don't know of any legal offroad areas around here so if anyone wants to take me under there wing or tell me where to go I would appreciate it.

  14. Hey bikeslut...... oh yeah nice name you will have to tell me the reason for it.... or maybe not. Anyways sunday the 14th sounds good to me. What time you want to meet up 0900 is good for me? I will ride out there from the silver strand unless someone wants to help me truck it. Anyone else want to go? DaveB?
  15. I have the yellow bike. I got a great deal on craigslist 07 w/400 miles completely stock for $3500. I have ordered some MT21's a 41 and 48 sprocket, and a JD jet kit so I can do the 3X3. I think I'm on the right track. I live on the silver strand so not too close to temecula, I am going to put the new tires before I go off road again. A friend of mine told me about pine valley, which i rode saturday and sunday on the deathwings, got in a littel over my head twice, but made it out. Oh yeah and I found out why the emissions canister sucks, kept creating vancuum in the gas tank. see ya.
