    PMB's Summer Ride

Great pics. You certainly turned your lemons into lemonade. Wish I had a bigger bike to follow that route.

    Happy Birtday DSFOX

Happy Birthday, Deb. Hope you had a great day.
  3. I was all set to join until my riding budget got cut after my wife's job took a hit with the sequestration cuts. Thanks for trying to organize this and hopefully you will try again in the fall.
  4. I wanted to say thanks to the person that shipped my tool bag to me. It was lost on the DD. My registration was in the bag and they shipped to back to my house. No note attached. I was going to send a note of thanks back by way of the return address but the box accidently got thrown away. So here is to who ever you are. Thanks. It saved me a hassle of reassembling a new kit along with the registration, insurance card and local land permit. I owe you.Hope I at least get to buy you a beer one day.

Thanks to someone I don't know

No problem. Whenever you get a chance. I'd rather thank them late, than never at all.

    Building a cam chain tensioner

My motto it "The answers to most of life's mysteries lie somewhere in a well stocked garage." I love the "I can build it better myself" attitude. Good job.

    Anyone lose a GOPRO?

You are a good guy. Hope you find the owner.
  8. WOW!! Great pics. That ride has always been on my bucket list. Thanks for sharing.

    iPad issues

Mine has similar problems. If I try to post, it just shuts off the app. Hope you figure it out.

    Kicked off-ticked off

What browser are you using (IE, Firefox, Chrome, etc)? It is likely a security setting that can be changed.

    Got water?

WOW. Great reminder that you have to always be prepared for the worst. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks to someone I don't know

If possible, I'd like to get their email address to thank them properly.

Thanks to someone I don't know

Yea, that was probably mine. I was outside when they announced that and someone told me later. I asked Randy but then he had trouble connecting with the person who found it. I appreciate the person that took the time and expense to send it back.
  14. Baring any major unexpected obstacles I am in on this. Been wanting to ride up there for a long while.

    Three days of just going

Nice job, Dan. New bike and nice long bike trip to boot. Looks like a great ride.
  16. Thanks for the post. Would have been nice to be down there to see it in person.
  17. Enjoyed riding with you too, Dan. We appreciated you riding us on Sunday after your long day on Saturday. Hope the wrist is feeling better.
  18. I have had the regular Spot Messenger for a few years and liked it. My kids got me a Connect for Christmas. After my year membership is up on the Connect, I will probably switch back to the Messenger. The benefit to the Connect is that you can write more specific messages from out on the trail unlike the Messenger which sends out limited preset messages. Problem is you have to have your phone to use. The only quick button is for 911 and if you want to just send a quick "Everything is OK' check-in, you have to pull out your phone. My phone, like most goes through it's battery searching for service while in the back country. So I normally keep it off or on Airplane mode. But then you have to spend the time to reconnect the Bluetooth with the Connect. Now it takes a few minutes to set up just to send a check in. It's just not real practical for motorcycle use. The message capability has come in handy, (I was able to send a message to my wife about getting around a fuse problem in our trailer, while I was in Fish Creek), but now I find I check in a lot less. It would be a great device if it just had another Check In button. Hope it helps
  19. Some bits and pieces from my helmet cam this weekend. So much fun.
  20. I spent a good part of my 3 hour drive home this morning thinking about what an awesome weekend this was. My second dash and once again I go away knowing if I did just one ride in a year, it would be the DD. My son and I had a great time sweeping on Sunday. Thanks to everyone who rode on Sunday for apparently being safe, making our lives and ride very easy. A special call out to Danrider who swept on Saturday and came back to camp with a black and blue wrist. But there he was on Sunday, sweeping with us all the way to Borrego until the pain got to bad. Thanks Randy for being the driving force that brings so many people together to enjoy this. Got some video of the ride including the snowy areas and the drop off that I will post later. Great time everyone.
  21. My son (fenix) and I are available to sweep on Sunday if you need. We are staying the RV park Sunday night so we are not worried about getting back early.
  22. Wish I could go, but I have to take my wife to San Diego to visit her sick mother. That along with next week being Valentines, her birthday and our wedding anniversary, i don't think I would survive asking for another weekend to ride.
  23. I've followed your ride reports up there. I am in Bullhead frequently for business but have never ridden the area. Been dying to explore it. If I can squeeze it in, I will be there. Put me on the definite maybe list.

    Mounted Garmin Nuvi w/o RAM

I've thought about putting one of those Nuvi units on my bike. Looks like it has a good veiw size. How has it held up?
  25. The change in date moves me to the definite maybe column. (from the completely unable one)
