  1. Check out Craigslist..lot's of good stuff for a good deal there. You could even post your own ad looking for free gear.

I have some stuff that may work for you (then again most of my gear get's wrecked)...what color is your bike? I have a jacket or two that may work.

Most important though....get some seat time!

  2. would have been there if I still worked in Escon-ghetto (thank god I don't...)

My little cousin is one of the managers there....amazing how the booze business is the only business that thrives in a down economy :coolio: some might say alcohol is recession proof. Doesn't matter what proof it is...it will get drank

  3. Well...Dan, Forrest, Brock and I were posted up in Laughlin at the Aquarius. Friday morning was a rough morning as we all were having trouble sleeping figuring out what time we were leaving, what time is it now and where are we anyway. Our phones kept swapping from AZ time to NV time. That hour difference was confusing! :dead:/>/>

See! Confusing while the clock in the room says one time and our phone says another. But wait, now they are the same time! :bad:/>/>

We ended up in VIP valet parking at the casino...right out front! Off loaded our bikes and finally hit the road. Met up with the Bullhead boys along the river. Said our hello's and then good bye's as they started the adventure and we waited for awhile to let the dust settle.

Friday was some of the best desert riding we have ever rode. Miles and miles of single track with some great challenges.

No tire issues or bike issues all weekend! Well, I had an issue with the stock suspension on my bike....apperantly, KTM builds their bikes for much smaller guys (or gals). Could feel every bump and bottom out a few times. Was a little tough for cornering.

No more pictures for Friday. We made it to lunch and gas...gambled on eating at the mexican joint instead of McDonald's. Knowing that McDonalds would have caused us to open our TP package....the mexican food was very good.

Took the xmas tree trail and headed in to town.

Saturday...after the worlds aligned and we had figured out the time thing...we were up and ready to go! Off loaded the bikes and hit the road. Forrest made an attempt at jumping the fountain on his way out of the parking lot...with only a few sparks he made a clean landing (slide) :crazy:/>/> if only I had a picture of that!

Started the ride through Bullhead to the trail on our way to Oatman AZ. Sun in our eyes, dust collecting great ride. My favorite was the blast of adrenalin you get when making a hard right. All of a sudden there is what looks like a wall to climb! A third of the way up the sun hits you right in the eyes....I remember I was thinking "who are those A** Holes at the top of this hill...they got a camera on me!" Made it to the top only to find out the cactus in the area have the best seat in the desert.

Great ride, awesome company! Thanks Chris!

  4. I had the BD Diablo (HID light) on my CRF....needed a stator upgrade and a rectifier to run that light

I now have a BD Squadron (LED light) on the 500EXC....much brighter and only draws 3 amps. They do sell a dimmer kit that I may need to invest in as it is so bright even during the day. Would get in trouble on the road.

Because the 500EXC is fuel injected there is already a rectifier on the bike changing A/C to D/C. So it was "plug and play" for me.

After having both the LED and HID....I would go with the LED. Much brighter, no warm up time, draws less amps etc etc.
