  1. Wong's Dragon Room

    La Mesa- 930 until ---

    Friday, July 19th

    The Tighten Ups

Dive bar; small dance floor; no cover; cheap beer

Damnit! have been waiting for Wong's and we will be out of town! (at least we will be riding)

Those of you that go....hold on tight! Their not stingy with their drinks....

  2. Please can we hear from CID and Hoss as to whether we "Need" more light than a single Squadron.

This HDB Kit is fine quality and all But; Do I need a full Racelight set-up to find my way into camp when running behind schedule, which is not going to happen often because I don't want to miss the party.

Absolutely not needed....unless you are riding the Dakar Rally at night, or in need of a tax write off.

Just one of those lights are much brighter than the BD Diablo light that I had on the previous bike.

  3. Well, I'm 5'4" with a 29" inseam......so not too many of you are shorter than I am....perhaps this is more "vertically" challenged, than "gravitationally".....

for me, seems to work to just swing my leg a little higher, or kind of "slide" my leg over the seat....it can be tricky...

.....the real problem is, if I drop the bike while fully loaded (as in my pic)... :blink:/>/>/>

It's a REAL challenge to pick it up by myself....but I can do it...all part of the adventure...luckily my riding buddies are awesome, and help me if really needed....

If I remember right you have the best kickstand money can buy....step up on the peg with the stand down and then sit. Lean other way with your foot down and kick the stand up.

  4. cleaning chrome such as removing the blue? Rubbing alcohol works good for that too.

removing rust: I like Naval Jelly

Oven cleaner will strip everything if you let it sit long enough. I have only used it to remove old caked on grease and dirt when restoring an old Jeep I had.

Depends on where/what the rust is located....you could remove with using a shell media blast or Naval Jelly. But, it would still need to be re-chromed.

Ride it down! I can help get a game plan for you over a cold B :coolio:

Lots of good paints out there that work similar to powder coating.
