Hey Carguy, after seeing your impressive rock throwing capability I want one of those Tera Flex tires. There seems to be limited retailers. Where did you buy yours? Maybe Socalhodaka Can get them...Kelly are you there? I hope it would not be too wide for my KTM but it does fit yours so I don't think that a 525 and a 530 would be too different. http://www.intercotire.com/tires.php?id=24&g=2

Your talking about VP racing fuel? If so...I LOVE it!!! I wish I could run it all the time. When I was into buggies I was running it 50/50 with premium gas. I broke the trans at Gordons at the beginning of a week long trip so I ran it in my Honda 200s 3 wheeler the whole week. Had a blast!! I would go around a bowl and then smell my exhaust on the way around. I love the way it smells. Reminds me of Cajon Speedway. My fat ass pulling wheelies in the dunes on my camp bike...What a blast!

I have a 2010 EXC530. Lots of fun with ample power and low weight. I am also 5'10 and it is a little tall but I don't have any trouble. When I was shopping and comparing weights I found this video on youtube. I was on a pig of a KLX650 at the time so this video pretty much sealed the deal.

It still should push start. Key on, gas on, 2nd gear, stand up, push, dump clutch and bounce on seat. Awww that takes me back.

pull out the spark plug and see if it cranks then. Sounds to me like a hydro lock of either fuel, oil, or coolant

Looks good! The lift and wheels/tires really made a difference. Can you still use the top with that rollcage?

I am watching this documentary about the most dangerous motorcycle road race. Called "the isle of mann TT" this is NUTS!!! Thes guys have some brass balls to be airborn at 120mph on a road racer. The footage of the speedwobbles is crazy!! Its on the Al Jazeera America Channel. Worth the watch

Well done! you guys built a very nice Baja. I love VW's and have acquired another to build for my wife as well as a couple of pre '64 projects. I tell everyone that you have to love your VW or they will not love you. They have distinct personalities just like Herbie the love bug. Even more than other cars. I pour the love to mine and it has never left me stranded. Tell your boy to keep a nice toolkit and always have spare throttle and clutch cables. The VW community is like dualsports. If I see a bug on the side of the road I always stop to possibly assist. Just like motorcycles. Once again---sweet bug I love to see youngsters keeping the bugs alive. My 18 yo brother has been driving my dads 70 everywhere. He has a bit of trouble sometimes, mostly because he is not mechanical but he does show it love. Here is mine at sunset at Lake Morena

I love my wife. Just now when leaving to go to the store she see's a huge coyote. She promptly runs inside and grabs the old 12 ga. Jacks in 3 rounds and runs toward the coyote. Down on one knee takes aim and BAM! that scares the animal and he runs away only to get round two in his ass!!! The neighbor was just telling us about a coyote that had ahold of her dog and he was lucky enough to get away. She didn't kill him , but at least he knows he's not welcomed. Next time I get out the 30.06 and let her get him for real. Happened too fast to get a pick...But you get the idea. Doesn't every husband buy his wife a pink rifle for Christmas?

Thousands of quail. Is it season?

So...the OBVIOUS question is: Why don't we ride around your property?!?! You been holdin' out on us? Before Brad left for the Marines he HAND cut at least a mile of single track. I told him to make some hard loops and he did. WAY hard loops. Kicked my ass one day. Anybody who wants to come up and run them is welcome. There is one loop that goes over lichen covered boulders and is very technical.

I live on 89 acres in the middle of Campo. The Coyotes have tons of rabbits, squirrels, quail etc to eat. Our dogs are fed inside and our dumpster has a lid. They have been getting closer since we have lived here. I hate to kill animals that I don't eat but I feel we need to put the message out that this is not a safe place to come for a meal. The shots didn't kill of injure the coyote just scared him.

I have never liked Chrome. I hate it when it updates automatically and makes itself the default. I always change it back to Explorer
