    ATGATT

Lucky guy for sure.......a second or two sooner and it would have been a head-on. Looks like a little showing off with the cameraman being able to catch it all. ATGATT

    GPS Mounts

RAM mounts seem to be the ticket. There should be a mount for the unit you have. Very adjustable to the application and position you want. www.ram-mount.com

    Textile jacket repair

Hello all, I was hoping that somebody might know of a place or person that does repairs on textile jackets......I have a Kili 4.0 that has some road rash damage...ie couple of pads coming off, and a hole in the upper chest area thanks....ride on!!! rick
  4. Tough looking trails there. Mitch? What kind of light steup is that? Looks like it could light up the night pretty good? rick

    fender bags

I use the MSR bag up front, and used some safetywire through the clips to keep it in place....works great. On the rear, I use the original, but I wrap the tools up in a few shop towels to keep the bouncing down, and stuff how a couple of more around them in the bag. Keeps the tools from tearing out of the bag, and you have plenty of wriping material for whatever you need.

    Off-Road boots

I wasn't able to try on the SIDI Discoveries before I bought them online. I did find alot of reviews about sizing, and I went with what my current boot size is. The boots showed up, and fit as advertised. So for what it's worth, the SIDI boots seem to be right on for the sizes.

    Riding Boots?

The SIDI Discovery is a nice boot that will do what you want it to do. Comfortable right out of the box. Feels like a regular(street) boot, and you don't have to walk around like a robot. They don't have the total protection as a true MX boot, but for dualsporting, they give the support that is needed. They are waterproof too. rick

    Slippery Roads

Some corners are like rolling atop thousands of granite marbles.......so easy to get the rearend around.... sometimes without even trying.
  9. That's why I think there's more to it then just "fire danger" season.
  10. I rode through from the S2 side today......nothing on that end saying of a closure. I also tried Thing Valley road...it's still closed, both ends. I find it frustrating how some roads are left open while others are gated closed. I understand about the fire danger in some areas, but I think it's more of a money issue in that the agencies that maintain and/or enforce the areas don't have/or won't use the manpower or resources. If I'm paying taxes for such resources, I should be getting the access. rick

Electric Motorbike Builder Does a Big OOPS !

He's a sure candidate for the Darwin award!!! Hate to say it...but when a person who knows better and does it anyways, deserves what they get. Without knowing the extent of his injuries and seeing that he was conscious, I'd say he is one lucky fella....and with that....I was LMAO!!!!!

    Gas Cap Vents....

My clarke cap vent tube stand off also broke off. I used a short brass tube, run it into the top, the tube off of that, and fill around it with silicone. It holds up great, and when it does come loose, I just apply more and stick it back. rick
