Great to see you man! I'm glad you called. Give a ring next time you're in the neighborhood.

Awesome! Thanks for all the advice and fun stories. A trailer is not really an option because I have no where to park it, but also it would be just one more thing that I don't really need and would just sit around most of the time. I didn't know about the 55mph rule. That's way to slow for me. Even a short trip would be a long one at that rate. Blue book on the honda is high $3000, low $2000 so thats my optimal price range. If i find something really good and perfect for me I could throw in another grand or two, put preferably not. So within that price range it will probably be an older high mileage truck. Good to hear about the Fords. I didn't realize they'll go for that many miles. I thought only Toyota had that reputation.

Big Bear / Arrowhead this weekend anyone?
pyro replied to DigDug's topic in Informal Local Rides & Who's Going Riding!
Sounds like fun, but I would just slow you guys down. There's alot of challenging terrain up there that I haven't even seen yet. Take lots of photos and post them up so I can drool. -
Yes~ That's a great bike. You've got the right idea. The main difference is the weight. Don't ride it like a motorcross bike. The suspension cant handle it. Ride with finesse and the main objective is to never drop it. (picking it up sux) When you ride Corral or McCain on this type of bike you will be in 1st/2nd gear most of the time. Slap some knobbies on too (if u don't already have them)!

I think I've figured out why a couple of those photos came out really dark. It's because your headlight was pointed directly into the camera. Good aim bluefintuna! -
No need for gear if you have a sidecar holding you up.

Not long ago I slapped a new Dunlop D606 on the back of my bike. Yesterday I notice huge chunks missing, full knobs gone and many others badly damaged. All are in the center row. (I will post pictures of it when I get the tire back later today.) So I took it back to Cycle Gear this morning to see what the policy is for return/exchange of defective merchandise. They said 'Where the heck you ride this thing'. I say 'where ever'. They say maybe I had too much tire pressure. Nope. Same tire pressure, same terrain, same tire I always run for 5 years now. Never had a problem. They say there's too many factors and they can't do $hit for me. Unbelievable! $81.99 down the drain. I'm very disappointed. Had to buy another tire.

Nice one brother, had a blast! It was a bit chillier than expected with a little drizzle, but that made for perfect riding. The dirt was softened up a bit without getting gooey, and no dust what so ever. Gotta love that! Maybe next time we'll do the full loop if the weather is better, and you can turn off your phone for more than 2 hours. Just leave a voicemail greeting that goes something like this: 'Sorry sucka's, no fish for you today! Bu-bye now" Good times man. Breakfast of champions Stable mates reuinited And away we go! That's what I'm talkin' bout! Back to the ranch Awesome! Great job Tommy you are a champion. -
Great ride today! Thanks Paul for hookin it up. I like your style man. Not many breaks taken today. Just ride ride RIDE! It was an ambitious agenda, of which most of the goals were satisfied I think? Sorry about side tracking the plan after lunch. It sounded awesome, but I was out of juice at that point. Good to see you this morning too digdug. How's the clutch? I took a few PICS=> Clutch Kill Hill Yep its fried I think this was after I almost floated my klr. It was the greatest water crossing ever for me, except I think I had my mouth wide open because the water tasted horrible Local Dual-sport in Platnum HD Ride On SDAR

Fun trip report. Thanks! All I can say, is that place looks AMAZING! -
Well I bought another one and put it on today. That's how much I love these tires. I probably went through 25 or 30 rear tires and 15 fronts over the lifespan of my last bike. Never any problems at all. That's why it seems obvious to me that this one was defective, and the right way to treat a loyal customer is to go the extra mile. They should have apologized, given me a free replacement, and mounted/balanced it while I was there waiting. None of that happened. It seems like Dunlop would replace it no questions asked, so the dealer should have been out in front of the ball and making the extra effort to keep a good customer happy. It's no secret that you can get anything online these days and usually cheaper with less hassle. The only reason to go to a store is if you need it right now, or you want some customer service. I read on Thumpertalk someone had same problem. They went through online retailer. The tire was replaced with no questions asked. He just had to send them the ruined one.

Yep saved the tire. Here's some pics:

Is there is a corner with cool posters? Every cave requires that, regardless of type.

That's what I'm talkin' bout Zeno! "" Then, on July 16, 1769, Mission San Diego de Alcalá was established by JunĂpero Serra on Presidio Hill. Less than a month after the Mission was established, an uprising of Indians occurred; four Spaniards were wounded and a boy was killed. After the attack, the Spaniards built a stockade which was finished in March 1770. It included two bronze cannons: one pointed to the bay, the other to the nearby Indian village. (One of the cannons, El Jupiter, is now in the Serra Museum) "" wikipedia
