    November 6, the tighten ups play The Mighty Kraken in Cardiff. I told them I would play "everything on the books" or until they find my replacement. So; we'll see....AM Gold play winston's in OB Sunday November 8th. Genre is "Yacht rock", so it's definitely more mellow and relaxed in general.

    ok- breaking news not to be shared on facebook just yet. I put in my notice with The Tighten Ups. As soon as my replacement is found, I will be gone... first contestant that auditioned at Nicky Rotten's didn't work out. So THIS Saturday I am playing with the Tighten Ups in Oceanside @ Pourhouse from 10-1. any gig could be my last, and most people seem to like this band, so maybe check it out. Rock, soul, funk and blues

    also- Same night- Playing 6-9 @ Carlsbad Coyote Bar with Bumpasonic. Some buddies from college that still play together and I hang out with them musically sometimes. top 40 from the past 30 years, including current hits

    Monday Oct 26- Playing with AMGold... Yacht Rock on a Yacht... what're the odds of that happening?

    I'll go out on a limb, and assume non-riders think standing is dangerous, fool hardy and showing off... nothing could be further from the truth, and I would hate to have to appear in court to explain it... Just yesterday, on the way in to work, I momentarily stood up to rearrange my ... uh... pants... and realized I did it right in front of a sheriff.

    but he didn't do anything

    I've had nothing but great interactions with sheriff in my area... including the redlight I ran last week... lol... right in front of him (rainy night and poor vision).

    LEOs can decide to cause you problems, or help you along. I hope I can trust the judge to do the right thing.

    another example... driving 80 on the freeway (70 limit) and I see a pair of headlights SCREAMING up behind me; I gas it to pass a semi, then slide to the right, and he lights me up for doing 92. I had no explanation other than he was a jerk. But not going to win in court, so I just bit the bullet and paid it.

    Thank you for the two solid offers of help, and the hundreds that seriously considered offering...I took two teenagers for brawn, and myself for brains. Glad we had the brawn...ha...actually, I couldn't have planned it any better...went down exactly according to plan.

    yeah- I think what people are saying... reckless driving is the leading candidate. its a bullshit call on their part, as far as I am concerned, but that's what the court system is for. Good luck in court David

    ALL: I will be in vista tomorrow around noon to pick up a few last items... most specifically a concrete/tile table and bench set I need to put in a truck/trailer. Anybody in the Oside/Vista/San Marcos area that can help me for 20 minutes just to load these freaking things in my truck? I'll bring some beer if that helps. You might want to wear some grungy clothes and walk through the rubble... it's really kind of cool in a dark sort of way

    I believe that is accurate. I will tell you, non-riders "don't get it"...I've had people at work saying "I saw you showing off this morning"...hmmm...thinking back....nope; can't remember..." what was I doing?"..."standing up"..." I call that stretching...sheesh"
