  1. yeah... so some dear friends (aiders and abettors) have my bike up and running, so I will be going out early Sunday to shake off the cobwebs, and find out how rusty my skills really are. SO... that means it will be noob friendly I'm guessing. Haven't been out in a year, so don't expect anything sensational... I just hope to not have a heart attack.

Meet at the oak (if it's still there) about 7ish, and ride half day.

  2. :D according to my account I haven't posted for 365 days!  So for all the people that mocked me and said i was addicted I guess I proved them wrong!

Hope everybody had a great 2017 and has an even better 2018

If also like to take this opportunity to thank Paul and Tom for conspiring with my wife to get my bike cleaned up and running.... so now I have no excuse.

Ha! I was kind of jealous of the ride you guys were planning. But mainly I wanted to make sure I wasn't being a creep eves dropping on a private conversation.

they like it when people watch... don't feel creepy

Hey Champ! No... I'm not jealous... well... I am about the riding part, not the dating part

With dislocated shoulders, I've had 3,  its best to just relax,  no tugging or pulling.  On the first one I tried all that with no success.  But once I calmed down and relaxed it just slid back into socket.  And on the others just focused on that and it worked too.

the first one hurts the worst... after that, they tend to pop in place much easier

oh... they pop OUT easier too

  5. Depends on the bike..and obviously the rider.  Did it a few weeks back...about the same as ever...Any true dual sport bike would be fine.  We saw a guy heading that way on a loaded up adventure bike.  Never saw him again so assume he turned around.  Probably a good idea

East of McCain Valley road is a nature preserve, so of course it's always been off limits.

right, except for the two overlooks, which both require plates

I do know that east of the road are many singletrack trails, and that some scofflaws ride these trails. I don't think riding those trails (if caught) would result in a warning. I was mainly talking about the far North of the park that borders, and crosses into some private land

  7. by the way... I have it direct from a rider that the ranger has been watching areas crossing or near private property, and issuing warnings. That includes all the area North past the "old" boundary signs which have been shot, rusted out, bent, torn and thrown off the trail. Also (obviously) anything East of the main road except the lookout road... those other areas are clearly verboten. I wonder if the southernmost trail qualifies, but I guess we can find out... that's a fun trail, and the ranger can tell us if it is out of bounds.

    see you guys Sunday
