Lots of great photos, only a few fit the "action shot" theme. But I'd like to use some of the others also to rotate them on the FB group cover photo in the future. Padu wins the cover shot with his Ducati action shots !

I rode an FJ 1200 for 107,000 miles before I parted it out...wish I would've kept that bike !

For sure...we will be doing more events like this, club meetings, street and dualsport rides, trail maintenance days and overnight campouts this year. This is why we'd love to keep SDAR and the website forums alive.

Hey all, my friend Colin, who is an EMT, has raced and worked many desert races, been a volunteer fireman in Alpine and is an avid dualsporter (as well as being into old classic bikes), and he has supported SDAR and our Desert Dash ride for many years as a sponsor, will be putting on the First Aid Training Class at Shutterrev's house in Lakeside on May 31st, from 5:30 to about 8:30pm. Training will be specific to motorcycle riders and first aid on the trail. Let me know if y'all want to order pizzas, we'll do that if everyone wants to...eat pizza and socialize from 5:30 to 6:00, then the class will start, should be about a 2 hour class. We'll ask for a $10 donation for pizzas, whatever is left will go to Colin. Please RSVP as there will be limited space for about 25-30 people max. We'll bring some SDAR chairs, but if you have your own favorite portable chair, please bring it. Many thanks to Nick for offering to host the class. Please PM me or Shutterrev for his address. I also want to give a shoutout to the owner (Nick) of Grandstand Pizza on Magnolia in Santee, he appreciated the large order of 5 pizzas, so gave me a large Buffalo chicken pizza for free, and when I bought the sodas he gave me 3 - 2 liter sodas for the price of 2. I ordered pizzas many times over the years when they used to deliver to my other house by Grossmont College when I had my riding buddies over...was good to see him again.

I'd like to once again thank Colin for putting on the class, Shutterrev for hosting, Bubbagums for the $200 donation (which paid for the pizzas and sodas) and all of you for donating and attending, was a great turnout. I offered Colin all the money from the donations, he only wanted to be reimbursed for his expense for making copies ($88, he agreed to round it off to $100) and said to donate the rest to the club...thanks a lot Colin ! That helps out SDAR big time since I recently had expenses for renewing website SSL certificate, domain renewals and monthly hosting costs. We'll try to do a first aid class twice a year.

Also, bring your own drinks, beer, whatever...and a chair if you have one, we will have some chairs available, just want to make sure we have enough.
