  15. Plan on heading out next week , not firm on date yet (business in escrow), thought I might post incase someone wanted to ride along we could figure out a good date for departure that would work for everyone. I Plan on riding to tombstone, but if you want to truck thats ok, (maybe split fuel if you want to haul) would like to ride area including bisbee and dragoons, try to go twice a year and know area pretty well. No hardcore riding,(my bikes gotta get me home!) more sightseeing, and having fun, plan on getting a room overlooking downtown this time, I normally tent camp but its pretty cold this time of year. alyeska

    Disc alarm locks

Ordered the xena xx 10 from motorcycle superstore today, says 120 db output, will post update on performance when I get back from tombstone. alyeska
  19. I do most of my work myself but if I have to use someone, a master does exist! Itami motorcycle repair in imperial beach on palm ave, his reputation is so good that he doesnt even have his store front door open, you have to call him before bringing stuff to his shop, its been a couple years since I have seen him but have known him 35 yrs when he was a kawasaki factory mechanic and know his shop is still in business since I have passed it several times this year. Prices have always been fair to me. alyeska

    Disc alarm locks

I am looking for something that will make some noise if moved not so much the locking effect, I usually sleep as close to my bike as possible whether its motel or tent. I have never found a mounted alarm to be able to hold up to the off road abuse a dirt bike takes. alyeska

    TM40 carb wow!

The engine work was done already when I got the bike along with the web cam he had stuck in, I got reciepts from him and he was a retired deputy so I hope he would'nt scam a brother. The bike does pull like my v strom so I think the work was actually done. alyeska

    TM40 carb wow!

Had I known what this would have done to the performance of my bike I would not have hesitated to install it long ago. After my recent carb problems I finally decided to go with the tm 40, I do not regret it, my bike is so responsive, has no flat spots, will pull montezuma grade in 5th gear, and will idle down to nothing. In my 30+ yrs of riding I have never seen a carb so perfect in all aspects, the $500 for the kit hurt, but if feels pretty good today! alyeska
  23. I want to go on the next one of these, I have not been on otay mtn in over 25 yrs, and can stay in san diego at the end of the day. alyeska

    Tombstone 1/24

Correction, the tombstone motel is 1 block over from downtown and is 49-59 single occupancy,I have stayed here and it is very nice and has a good pizza joint up front. The silver nugget is on allen street and is a B&B. Will be making my reservations tomorrow for the silver nugget. alyeska

    Tombstone 1/24

Bike up and running good, will be dumping the knobbies and low gear sprockets this week for more 80mph friendly setup, since arizona is 75 and everyone runs 85-90 (hate the photo radar). Plan is to leave friday morning by 9am and be in tombstone before dark, get set up in room then hit the town, riding down to bisbee on sat. Plan on returning Monday morning and leaving no later than 10am for home. rooms close to town are: larian, bella union adobe lodge, and the tombstone motel(most expensive but has porch upstairs that looks down on allen st) I am not opposed to splitting a room with other riders (as long as you dont snore) alyeska
