No one would ever be left behind on a trail or in the water, Anywhere for that matter.

In December 2005 one of the biggest swells hit California. A fellow surfer had lost his board and was caught in the impact zone. He was yelling for help. I was not one to turn away but instead I paddled to his rescue and gave him my board to use while I swam next to him pushing him beyond where the surf breaks until the lifeguard jet ski arrived to get him safely back to the beach.
