    Hey Everyone!!!

  2. Something wrong with that file, MapSource says not a valid MapSource file. There are some tracks already posted on DSM.

Here is the GPS file I work from each year (you will need to be a free member to download). Use at your own peril (but it is from Jerry Counts, so it is good).

If someone can help upload this to the dualsportmoto site, that would be great. I don't use DSM (yet) so I am lost.

  3. Stock setup on 85 Toyota had negative arc leaf springs in front

Question for the wiser.... Are 81 Toyota front leafs interchangeable with my 85 toyota 4x4? Mine are saggin... And is there anything I can do besides a visual inspection to check the structural integrity/ life left before I install them? Thanks in advance...

  4. Some friends and I had a coast race down the South Grade of Palomar many moons ago when we were younger and dumber. Pretty crazy thing to do!

I like that "best pictures are in my head". There really were some awesome sights that day. The coast race IS my favorite part of the day. Picture it folks, 5 jackasses on motorcycles in a cut throat race coasting, engines off, down the hill supermoto style down one of the few paved roads at Corral Canyon. Also picture in your head, if you will, the same jackasses wandering around in the bushes looking for some electronic chirping sound. I was cracking up the entire ride.

That really was a blast. I am still beat up from how much and how fast we rode the hardest trails at Corral. Good times folks. Looking forward to the next one.

  5. Smiles like this one from my grandson Kingston tend to have an effect on my outlook on life also! He is 15 months old and has no plans for the rest of his life either. Maybe that is the secret of life, to take it as it comes and to make the best of it!

"Pablo told us some good stories and definitely an inspiration to go on big moto trips and/or around the world. Very cool guy....he is 43 and has no plans for the rest of his life, this trip will basically determine the rest of his life. He said when you choose to leave everything you know behind and go on a trip like this, it changes who you are and your outlook on life...definitely something I hope and really want to do before I'm 60".

  6. I noticed the trees too!

Why did they doctor it up with riders that skilled?

    8lbs off a 2T is not minor.

After they filmed the first part of the video they prolly took it off and only a pint of gas in the tank.heh.gif

Was I the only one who noticed the tree's leaning a whole lot to make the climb look steeper.

I could go over the bars like he did at 9:28.

    It's a great sales video.

  7. It`s a 63 Impala with a 409 CI and 4 SPD. It is also the other pics with red interior and engine with matching red valve covers, air cleaner and brake master cover.

Is that an Impala? I like that look... all business

  8. I put coil over shocks on the back of my 94 2wd Toyota PU and hauled my Harley Sportster and my Mechanics tools from MA .to CA. Also had quite a bit of other stuff packed in around the bike and toolbox, with my wife and I in the front. Averaged about 22 mpg. and 75mph. I am pretty sure I was right at the load limit. Did about 2600 mi. in 5 days.

  9. Never said electricity doesnt kill. High amps kills not high voltage. Did not mean to imply that you could have amps with zero volts!!!

It is most definately in there somewhere. I can look for the exact section if you don't believe me. What I am saying is they don't consider anything less than 50v has the ability to kill someone. I'm pretty sure 50,000v has the ability to kill someone, a stun gun has circuitry to keep the amperage low enough to hopefully prevent it.

Electrician, huh? Amps kill, not electricity? What non-electric amps are there? Maybe they didn't teach me that in my 3 year apprenticeship.
