This Shoei DS Hornet is the nicest helmet I`ve owned. It`s very comfortable, quiet and very little high speed buffeting even with visor on.

Strega Actually I got the matte deep gray one.

Just received my new Shoei Hornet DS. It is a really cool helmet, very comfortable and lite. It has lots of vents that can all be closed. I think this is the nicest helmet I have ever owned.

I will be out at Holmes Camp that weekend. Look for my green Toyota pickup, a silver four door GMC 4X4 with a toy box and a couple other vehicles. If we arent right in the camp we will be just past the camp to the east side of the road.

Mimi If you dont mind me asking, what was the cost for doing your suspension? I have a Husky TE510 and would be removing the forks and shock myself too. Kris

All these top name Snell approved helmets all come from the same Chinese manufacturer: Troy Lee. Fox, Bell. There are probably more too. They don't buy and rebrand helmets. They design their helmets, then go to the manufacturer and have the manufacturer build the helmet to their specification. Sure but I don't think some of these other companies that primarily sell clothes for example are doing a lot of R&D in developing helmets as opposed to them finding some pretty graphics to slap their label on and just buy them from said manufacturer. Fox and Bell have been making helmets longer than exporting to China was an option, I think Arai even makes a big deal about their helmets being handbuilt and maybe even in the US You need to go to the different Helmet Maufacturer sites and check the certifications of different models. Joe Rocket has just as many Snell certified helmets as other manufacturers do. Just found out the Joe Rocket RKT Hybrid Dual Sport helmet is made by HJC
