  1. Ok 9am mc d's in ramona. I hope there is very little sand, my krl has it factory tires and they suck in sand. Street till be hit Anza, then find a trail we all like and start with that one. I like the area off S2 off the right by the railroad tracks. I have not done any of those trails yet. I will bring map and we can decide then.
  2. How about 9:30 at the Mc Ds? my cell is 6195042208
  3. Street to dirt, not sure on the dirt. We could meet some place in romona. Take s2 out and pick a road up the canyon. That area is pretty level,so i would have to say easy to moderate. I can wait till sunday. The roads from romona to s2 are fun, twisty. I am not a fast rider so anyone can keep up with me.
  4. I useally ride out from my house in Santee. Go up 67 to 79 drop down in the anza valley, leaving about 9am. Let me know where you are and if your closer to Anza we can leave from your place.
  5. I was thinking of going up palm canyon and just ride around Anza. Maybe the mud caves. I am a little slow, i seem to always be behind.

    Frustration with Volunteer Work

I know. I did help at Home Depot, they folks there need feed for horses when i stopped by. I went home got truck went ot feed store they loaded truck for free and dropped it off. I was in lakeside i was just riding around and came across this rode that went up the hill, the police were at the bottom stopping people i talk to them for a few. they then asked me to ride and check for anyone. When i came down they said thanks and i was on my way. I tried from the 1st hour to help, i went to Santana, the Q and all over. no one wanted the help just wanted money. I told the admin at the locations that i was Coast Guard for 8 years and have Search and Rescue training. All they would tell me is they have enough people to help, please give money. I think when the clean up starts the residents will not turn any help away, they will need it.

  15. Joe, where is up? I might want to go with you. Sorry i went up to get overview of fires, then my back started to hurt so i come home. I can go Friday if you want.
  16. I was hoping to go up again today at 3.
  17. Joe when did you receive that email? I just heard this morning that the fire went through Amago last night. Ken Yesterday.
  18. Here is the email i got from them; Joe, As of today the La Jolla Indian reservation has been evac'd. This is not to say that the track day is off. We're going to carry on schedule unless they tell me otherwise. The fire will not affect the track only the availability of staffing and EMT services. I'm still planning on heading up there Saturday, spending the night and welcoming the bikes Sunday morning. If this proves impossible we'll post a notice to our website and North County's website.

    FIRES - OLD

This is from Viejas Grad Rd. Who was that other KLR rider by Alpine? Hope you all are ok..
  20. To take mind off of fires? Most of us are off work not by choice, so i wanted to see if anyone wanted to ride where we can. I live in Santee we could go through Lakeside to Alpine on old 80, then go up Viejas grade rd. There appear to lots of trails back there, and i would like to get some pics. If you are displaced I have room for a few and parking.
