dont get the CRF! Fat heavy dangerous pig. (notice the cross out on my signature) Just bought my wife the 2015 Husky FE 350 S. Good choice Bp619! She rode my bike-which is essentially hers (thank you KTM for buying Husky!), and had to have one. We just put 80 miles on it all over Santiago Peak-Lake Elsinore last weekend-she loved it. My wife is a bad ass also-several inonnmans and triathalons and multiple marathons so she was up for it. Unreal bike-pricey?-Oh yeah-but it cost me another 2k that i lost selling that pig of a CRF! Had to put Devol link on it and also lowered sag and front forks with Enduro Concepts triple stack to raise the bars. Also installed Seat Concepts low profile seat-with her boots on she feels comfortable-not flat footed but pretty close-she about 5-4. I spent some money but she loves the bike an honestly we will have it until we are both old and grey and buy giant ADV bikes! Good luck and happy wife happy life....

Thanks Blue-i am actually researching the best GPS out there as i dont have one yet-i know i need one ive just been procrastinating but now the search is on!In your opinion what is the best unit out there? Save some money and find a used Garmin 76cx on EBay.........a new Garmin Montana will set you back ~$500 +1 I got a new GPSMap 78 off Ebay for under $150. Works fine, love it. Good ports for hard wiring it to the bike. I'd take a 76 over a 78 if you can find one......both capable units......78 is newer/flashier but the 76 is a bit more user/dual sport friendly (in my mind)..........though I'm admittedly partial to the 60/76 series...... ive heard good things about Montana 600 series-i know its pricey but im cool with it-however-is it overkill?-too many gadgets for a more minimalist old skool guy like me?-can it be hard wired?THanks i really appreciate the responses! I use s Montana and love it. Big, readable screen. Holds lots of tracks and maps - topio. City Nav, etc. I have it hard wired to the bike.. Highly recommend! Sounds good-im thinking im only gonna use it on my bike and we plan to camp and ride for days at a time so i like the idea of the hardwire and no need to carry/charge batteries. Thanks for the input-quick question is the 600 series the same as the 62s youre talking about? Thanks Bp619

I will look into a new one of either one of these and do some comparing. Thanks for the suggestion!

just sold my wifes CRF250L-she hated it-super heavy and really weak. Im a Honda romantic but that bike is crap for anyone with any ideas of off road use more than a graveled fire road. shes now rocking the Husky FE 350 S and is I N L O V E no its not cheap- thinking the DR is the best option-try to lighten it the best you can but i think its your best bet.

Update- Just got back from speaking with Eduardo-one of the brazilian bros-super nice guy. You know how when you first meet someone you get a vibe-you get a pretty good feel for the person?, in about 2 minutes i didnt feel the greasy-fast talking used car salesman vibe i had at Mission Motorsports and another dealer. Great little shop-put a down on a 2015 Husky (ahem...KTM) FE 350S for the wifey. Ill post another thread later when its done getting farkled and lowered. Havent seen the final bill yet for farkilization but Ed was straight up with me on price, he looked me in the eye, let me talk about what i wanted and had some good insights. Heres another thing i noticed. I heard several shop intercoms calling for him and he never left our conversation. No looking at his phone or even talking to staff-gave me his undivided attention. Now call me old school but i dig that. He also threw in some free shirts and some stickers and promised to do me right on labor to install the parts necessary for lowering. I brought the Devol link in i got pretty cheap. Hoping he can add link-mess with forks and shock and i will install SC low profile seat to get this down to her level. If that dosent work im gonna have to spend some more for some real suspension work. Want to thank those that had good things to say about the place-it influenced my decision and im glad it did.

i dont have the 500-have the 2015 350EXCF and i added the same tank in black-i didnt have any issues. Good Lord Paulmbowers thats a killer looking bike!

Thanks Randy and Slut and other gents for the reviews-its come down to them or OC KTM-problem is i want the FE 350 S and they dont have any in stock-all 501's so im looking for good dealer with at least one in stock thats motivated to sell. 3 bros does have a few in stock and based on reviews i think i will be giving them a call. I appreciate you local boys, i am on the other two forums but you almost get info overload with the bigger forums. Dont have time to read someone sniveling that the vending machine didnt have Rolos.... Again thanks to all that chimed in.
