  1. Knock wood! I've never had a flat, have always run the ultra heavy duty tubes. So far so good. Changing one by hand in my garage is not easy, must be a real pain on the trail. Did I ever show you the little monopod used to hold the bike up, Kato turned me onto it. Hope I don't need it anytime soon. Going to McCain with hodnettjj tomorrow! Been too long since I've been out on a ride. Let's hook up soon so I can return you pullover.

How early? I'd be hoofing it down from San Marcos. All day or half day?
  3. I booked a hotel near the convention center. Have an extra bed if anyone needs a place.
  4. Nice set up! Look forward to hearing how it worked for you. I'm looking forward to some full moon rides in the near future.

    Cocos fire

We live in San Elijo Hills. I was up on Double Peak Park with my kids yesterday watching the Carlsbad and other fires for a while. Went to the store for about 45 minutes and when I came out there was a fire right by Double Peak Park and it was moving towards our home. We were evacuated around 6 last night. Spent the night with some friends in Valley Center, got a condo on the beach in Oceanside tonight. One of our neighbors didn't evacuate, he says the neighborhood is fine, but we cant get in due to road closures etc....
  6. This video was taken by some dirt riders along the continental divide, who stumble upon a Vietnam memorial in the woods. Whoever did it, put a lot of time and money into it. Evidently hunters and possibly some vets must be aware of it as there are numerous 7.62 and 30.06 rounds on one of the ledges between the stones. Who built it and how did it get there????? http://www.military.com/video/operations-and-strategy/vietnam-war/vietnam-memorial-on-remote-trail/2805626482001/
  7. Wish I could join you too! So I assume your foot is healed up? Be safe, have fun! Charlie
  8. Yes, that might be what he has. I like the simplicity and look of this one. Same folks I think.
  9. One of our members from Temecula uses something similar. I think its plastic and cheaper. I sent him a PM asking the question, him being Dave (tsr is his web name) Charlie
