  1. Great job on getting the plaque this year. Ck Pt 7 was no joke. Well laid out course and the tracks were perfect. I thought the start might be a bit congested with everyone having to check in at the Convention center and then heading striaght to Gold Mtn. No issues at all with it. On Gold Mtn riders were either moving or tipped over. One you don't have to pass; the other is easy to pass. lol Well done!

Bro, did you forget to turn off the gas?

I thought I was slick stuffing the bike into the back of my Yukon but It's sad sack compared to these young MX'ers. I'll work on getting it into the glove compartment next time!

    Squadron light

W/O the dimmer option the light is too bright for the street. It will only have the high setting and you will have cars running over you because you've blinded them. The good news it that you will not have any issues seeing them do it. The thing is BRIGHT on full pwr. The dimmer knocks down the output by about 10% each time you push the FOB button. Once you find the output that works you can just leave it alone and toggle between H and L on your switch. Keep in mind that the dimmer does not affect the throw or pattern of the light; only the intensity Hope this helps.
  4. I'm glad they are keeping the honest a little more honest this year. I'll bet he 830 meeting sounds something like this... If you don't make it to the check points on time NO PLAQUE FOR YOU! Good for them. Someones gonna be mad about it for sure. I'll see you at the tracks table and if you catch me on the trail, kindly push me along. Thanks for posting up the information! SV
  5. Always talk of bike weight. Wondered about the weight we ride with. The stuff we carry on our person... Boots, helmie, pads, packs, tools anything we carry not attached to the bike. Now that I've checked, I wished I didn't know. Yesterdays ride. I'll keep this report down to more pics than words. 67, Ramona, S2 78, secret squirrel Bagster Anza Loop 2 things to avoid in the desert.. The tire had some threads starting to show... That's where the good traction starts! It's not hot out here or anything.... Julian, Sunrise Pine Valley What's going on behing you at 60 mph? This on Sunrise Hwy Corral, McCain Mobile refuel 94, Otay, 54, Home 360 miles on the clock all said and done. Saw camels, turkeys, a bazillion cows, a coyote attempting to drag a destroyed deer off the road but NOT one person in the desert. Desert rides in the summer are like night rides. Ya got it all to yourself! The microphone explodes shattering the the molds...
  6. That "cracked earth" photograph is awesome!!!! Waiting to read more on this sweet adventure.
  7. oh hell... now you are starting to sound like him. What's with all the gibberish you guys are blathering on about? Can't no one construct no decent sentences no more? Dont you have a Sea lion to milk or something?
  8. Oh no... I see a head on in our future. (Let's hope not) Sweet set up. I'll look for ya out there.
  9. Terror rain drenchin, quenchin tha thirst of the power dons...
  10. Standing on the street corner with my sign "will work for moto tire"
  11. What!!!!??? In SicVics world of clapty, the tire I'm using IS 1/2 worn/or 1/2 new. Thanks for offering those up but I really wouldn't know how to ride if I had a tire that actually stuck. I ride the slide. It would be like me writing a post with proper spelling rather than my wack semi-invented langwage.
  12. I'll buy it with good looks! Wait, don't have of that either. That place is tight for sure.
  13. Rob: I think I'll save some weight by riding in my reef sandals. Maybe I'll debut that system at Big Bear. Keep ur eyes open for it. That tire and a set of sandals sounds like a winning combo for the hardways! Jon/John (sp?): You nailed it. I'm trying to find my theme on here and I think I'll run with the music thing for a minute. CID already has the covered thing...well ya know. COVERED
  14. Absolutely. Just a reminder that we do have it all. Even camels
  15. That's awesome! I looked for it this afternoon. Glad he brought it to ya. I'll see you up at B Bear
  16. Think I'll be taking most of that route tomorrow later in the day. I'll keep an out for it. From 4 corners where did you go? 1 across to 3 then up to the peak or what? PM or reply.
  17. Nocturnal riding... Had it in my mind to do another night ride this week then Ozzy mails me and wants to ride out at McCain. I decided to link the two rides together and this is how it went. Rather than driving back and forth I decided to just load up and camp out at Bobcat (Corral) and use that as a staging area. I headed out around 1700 and arrived with plenty of time to setup everything and prep the bike. I'm loaded heavy with 8 gallons of fuel, and a bunch of other crap that I don't need for this ride but am using as a prep ride for something I have upcoming. Train like ya fight; fight like ya train. I just relaxed waiting for sundown. There was another group camping who had several quads and 2 or 3 bikes. They took off riding and were back before dark. Normally I don't see anyone at the sites during the week. Site view.. Hedgie wanted to go and told me to ride b*%ch but I advised him that he needed to setup perimeter sucurity at the campsite; the use of Deadly Force was authorized...He complied. Took this photo for the "missing persons" milk carton. It would come in handy if I didn't return from the ride. I may bonk my head, take off all my clothes and run off into the woods. This way they know exactly what they're looking for... (minus the clothes) I know what ur thinking....BRILLIANT/RETARED. It's a fine line that I enjoy skipping around on. It's dark and time to ride!!!!!! No plan or direction, just go. Corral, PV, Lugunas, Julian and in between. 113 miles in all. Camera took the Big El Dumpski along the way but I did manage to get a few pics. ..cause Black Diamond is even Blacker and more Diamondriffic at night... This is that one spot. Ya know.....with the rocks. We've all done this but it looks whack as all hell at night. Any guesses????? This one here is that rock slab roll-in on Trail 1. Thank you Baja Designs for making this possible. So I wanted Tacos and Pie....Apperently at midnight the only thing you can find is really choice parking. Whodathunk Got back to the camp just after 0200. After sorting the gear and stashing Hedgies "wetwork" I was off to sleep just before 0300. 0530 REVELLIE!!!!!!! Make coffee, Maint the bike, eat, fuel up, suit up and out the door at 0710 headed to McCain to meetup with the OZ. I'm there at 0800 and he is ready to go. I think we ride till about 1300. He let me lead and I took us on everything I could find; no holding back. Up rocks, in ditches and under trees. Nothing was safe. We did have to stop for cactus removal once. Oz had some sweet ones in the back of his right arm/wrist. All said and done we racked up about 50 miles of spyder web McCainess. No isses, no crashes nothing but good times! Oz loaded up and I was headed back to Corral. Think I finished at about 106 miles. Once back I broke down camp and made tracks for home. A solid amount of riding in 24 hrs. The result of falling from the ugly tree AND hitting all the branches along the way! *side note* Last day for advanced signup for the Big Bear Run is this Sunday. Crack to it!
  18. Chad WTF! You go ravage the Moab only to come back and wreck yo self at the McCains. Were you trying another one of those rock drop to lawn darts again???? (shaking my head) Good thing you're not a professional hitch hiker or you'd be in the unemployment line! Heal up; the trails await.

    lark Monday

My Girl made sure I was set for the ride right from the start... Proper nutrition for a BS ride I showed at 8. Slutty had already ridden like 45 miles by then. I think he's a little intimidated by the Sickness and feels he needs to sneak in a little "practice" before hand. I see how it is.... Next time I'll be out there 5 hours early! While I was dawning the batsuit I think they were plotting against me. Guilty looking crew right here No worries; I was ready. Everyone took turns in the lead and we just wandered around like normal. Had a good wind so the dust moved out quickly. I always feel good after going riding with BS. It's nice doing something for the handicapped and challenged sometimes. ....there there, stop licking the phone now.... I hope Jasons Military friends don't find out He's hanging out with a Hippie Terrorist...That would be striaght to the stockade. I think it must have rained the night before; the dirt was super tacky and the tires really hooked up well in the turns... then we rested I think the guys are telling me that I have a tumbleweed caught up in my helmet Always a good time. *not all of the above statements are true* You can sort it and make up ur own story. Till the next one.

    Drugs are bad...

Why yes, yes it is a hanger hook. Multi pack from Harbor Freight. Custom drilled then wet sanded to remove any sharp edges that may damage the 40 cent o-ring. I may anodize it orange later on....
  22. CONGRATS Robert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... We expected nothing less from you. 100% I gotta mail you with all the tech questions later on. Jet, elev, weather, terrain, tires and so on. Great effort. Vic
  23. Whoooooahhhh Duuuuuuude when I looked up and saw ur ninja extraction move I was sorta worried. Sorry about that one. BAD LINE!!! Glad you liked the loop. Don't count on that everytime; way to many ins and outs to remember. We walked away to live and fight another day. Well done Thanks again, Bob, Dave, Axel for tolerating "the Sickness"

    Clutch

Sending out feelers to see how long people are getting out of their clutch discs, plates/baskets. I know there are many factors involved so I'd like only input from those of you who have, or have had simular equipment to what I'm running now whch is a 2009 Ktm 450 Exc. All stock equipment. Almost all of my riding has been in the 1st 3 gears. I'm never really putting that load on the tall end. I do however tend to lug or tractor; not much high rev stuff. Everything works great right now and the fluid has never even shown an eeeeeek of problems. No shimmer or flakes. I'm at a point where I gotta do a replacement or ride her retarded through summer on the exsisting clutch. Without getting all deep into the factors that decide clutch life; what are you folks seeing for a clutchs life expectancy. Hours? Miles? Years? Thanks for the help.
  25. Thanks Crust! Did you notice they had the sag wagon ready for me in the background. They could tell from looking at me that I was gonna be in it or be the cause of everyone else needing it. lol Domination on the inside line!!!! Wahooooooo The "KLR" was making it happen. *note* What the hell are ya doing looking at moto stuff at 12:20am?????????????? You are Team "dedicated to the Bone" !!!!!!! Now go to bed. See ya
