  1. clarification... No thanks necessary
  2. Welcome to the group socaldrz86! The season is upon us. Let's hookup for a ride, I mean let's meet for a ride, damn, awkward... Let's ride in the same general vicinity and not look at each other real soon... OK?
  3. OK, I'm warming up with Mark Lindsay's 1969 classic: Arizona take off your rainbow shades
Arizona have another look at the world
Arizona cut off your Indian braids
Arizona why dontcha go my way
Strip off your pride your acting like a teeny-bopper run away shy
Strip off the paint from the face of a little child saint
Arizona take off your hobo shoes
Arizona why dontcha go my way [instrumental Interlude] Looks like I need to change the 146.505 memory bank label to EZLISTENING

Not to mention my guilty pleasure "Harbor Freight". Well named organization.
  6. Looks like a good day of riding. Thanks for the post. All the familiar places. It's getting to be that time of year again, can't wait to get out there.
  7. If you're looking for a recommendation, I can confirm that BlueBeam is a "go to" application for interacting with PDF plans, drawings, etc. I installed it at UCSD for the Facilities Design & Construction dept in their plan review area. I've also seen it in play with a few general contractors.

Talk about a picture being worth 1000 words. Great pic!!!
  9. I have a similar pic... And yeah, it was definitely a spooky experience...
  10. Great report, thanks for posting it. I especially like this pic. I'd love to see a Desert Tortiose again, gives me hope of the possibility. Haven't seen one in years.

    A must see..Soooo Open it.

I'm going to agree and add a vote for Dante, they also missed a classic, Anna Farris in Smiley Face. Definite 420 must see... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0780608/
  14. Great ride, thanks to all who made it possible. I rode the Saturday loop on the last sweep team of myself (Erick), Strega, Zoot and TLKING The day started out a little wet, but soon cleared up for a perfect day of riding in the desert. We caravaned out on Friday afternoon for the volunteer BBQ. We had sausage, burgers, fish from Tommy, chicken, awesome food Registration night, we handled the GPS uploads, this is also the final sweep team pictured here without all the moto gear up early for morning uploads, Strega representing All signs point to RIDE after a short road section, heading up into the mountains wet through the hills sweep team helping a DD rider out after a minor "get off", locked front brake and down he went in the muck Strega in all his glory yet again caught up to some riders hanging out, enjoying the scenery Dropping in to Borrego Gas in Borrego Beautiful day in Ocotillo Wells Start of Poleline Rd. (hold on) Lunch stop in Ocotillo, we just missed the DD provided lunch by ~20 min. Had to run up to Sealey for gas Late lunch across the street from the DD lunch stop Sweep team's bikes parked before the final leg to Butterfield.
  15. Good content, a necessary message not only for riders but anyone in our area. There are still unexploded ordnance in our local canyons. I'd change the pic into a link with a WARNING or let the stitched up pic on the pdf do the talking. It's a good way to get a point across, but not entirely necessary.
  16. Great ride. Here's a shot that I thought I'd add to the mix. It depicts the true effort involved with reviving the tetherball court with the materials at hand. the badlands..
  17. http://www.sandiego.gov/environmental-services/miramar/hhwtransfac.shtml Safe Transport of Household Hazardous Waste to the Facility: Transport up to five gallons or 50 pounds of waste at any time. Use your best judgement to estimate the amount of waste. Leave all products in their original sealed containers. Do not mix different products together. Leave mercury switches in the thermostat. Bring the waste in securely closed containers that will not leak. For passenger and driver safety, place wastes in the vehicle's trunk or truck bed. Do not transport in passenger compartment. Secure the containers to prevent breakage or spills during transport. Place fuels (diesel, gasoline, contaminated oil) in a container that can be left behind (Fire Department requirement). For safe unloading, keep wastes separate from other items such as trash or recyclable materials

    Dont smoke crack

Wow, all that video really needed was the last statement. The rest was more of a distraction. They could have put a McDonald’s ad in lieu of that ridiculous cartoon and helped to replenish the green sticker fund with advertising dollars and gotten the same point across.
  19. This is a route I haven't gone on yet. Looks fun. Is the meeting point Maraza Rd. ? I'm trying to locate it on google maps. I know where the DQ is by the gas station.
  20. I'll probably meet up for this one. I'm up for whatever the group wants to do. Is this still the plan: "Thinking of parking near the Glider Airport by the big tree- Hwy 79 Meet 9-9:15 Clutch out 9:30 AM"
  21. This looks awesome. I can't wait to get out there!
