    NOT Another Oil Thread

Thanks for the post Pasta... I stick with Rotella T4 for the KLR. Cheap and works great for about 1500 miles. Good till at least 2000 miles.
  2. Thanks kkug. Over the last three years, we've never seen it locked.
  3. I'm in Clairemont, near Clairemont Mesa Blvd. And Moraga Ave.

  5. Hey guys, I'm going to be riding Chariot Canyon from Banner (6.7 miles east of the Julian gas station off the 78) out to at least the state park line and back. Possibly a couple miles further. I'm a newb and ride a KLR, so I'll probably be taking a few breaks and going slow. However, all skill levels are welcome. I can meet in Ramona at 8:00am or at the Julian gas station around 8:30-8:45. High temp on Sunday is scheduled to be in the high 80s. I have never ridden the road, but have driven it a few times. The section I want to ride can be traversed by an AWD crossover with little wheel spin, but it is rutted and rocky in places. Let me know if you plan on going and I'll PM my cell phone number.

My KLR has trouble setting off sensors, even with a magnetic drain plug ?. I will wait at least one full cycle then make the turn when all is clear. It is a violation to not turn left from a left turn lane. It is not a violation to proceed with caution when a light is inoperative (never turning green).

    New Guy in Clairemont

Thanks for the welcome guys... Trophy Hunter, I work most Saturdays but I'll definitely be there if I'm not!
  8. Hey guys, I just started riding last September. I bought a KLR 650 and have been riding it almost everyday since. I feel confident on pavement but not so much off it. My goal is to be able to use my KLR for the NVBDR and / or the IDBDR next summer. I wasn't aware of a local ADV group till this week. I am looking forward to meeting you folks and learning from you all.
