OK, I'm sure you are wondering what's a guy from Alabama doing on this forum? I lived in San Diego back in 86-89. When I moved there I had been riding for a few years mostly in Ohio and Florida. SoCal was like motorcycle heaven compared to all my previous riding. Unfortunately I had to move away at the end of 89. I did manage to come back and ride a couple of times. I still have great memories of my time there.
Some time back I decided to scan some of my old pictures and create a ride report starting back when I first got into bikes. Of course my time in California is a big part of that report. While doing some research on one of my old riding friends I stumbled across this forum. I'm wondering If anyone else I used to ride with is still around and maybe even on this forum?

Someday I hope to make it out back there. Back then I was just a street rider. I'd love too visit some of my old favorites; Julian, Dudley's bakery, Mother's Kitchen, and of course all the great roads. I'd also like to explore some of the non- paved stuff I missed back then.
