I believe the +/- buttons are not enabled for this site...they are similar to youtube or the old thumpertalk "fuel gauge" ; which while it seemed fine in theory always seemed to end up in dogpiles, not a fair self-moderated forum

Funny thing is, we rolled by some folks walking their dogs. I recognized one former K9 officer and her retired K9. Stopping to chat, they asked - "who's that you're riding with, Valentino Rossi?"

Common mistake, I said, common mistake.

March 2012 at Anza, West Chec Enduro, Temecula was partly cloudy, Anza was in Blizzard conditions. Race was run but shortened to 2 loops of just a few miles of craziness. SoCal enduro at it gnarliest.

That looks like a lot of fun... cold, but a lot of fun.

You weren't kidding about the blizzard, that was a lot of snow, which made for a lot of mud!

Fun, looks like you had plenty of challenging single track!

true... nothing over-the-top crazy, but you had to pay attention

I don't think we had any double black diamonds, but some legit singles

Looking at these sections one at a time, " Yes, I could do that."

Rationally, I know 15 - 30 of Those Sections would be a Killer.

How many Adventure Bikes did you see out there??

:shiftyeyes_anim:

Glad to see you "all over" those sections.

Bags you know every bike is an adventure bike, just designed for different types of adventures.(only comp enduro and some not great choice mx bikes on this ride)

That ride was relentless all day long, @ 35 to lunch then @40 to finish, hardly any "rest" trails started @ 0900 finished @ 1630, lunch @ 1 hour break.

My brother and I rode Lark last wednesday.

The freeway was closed due to 65 mph winds, but we managed to bypass the checkpoint via backroads.

We played around for about 2 hours taking videos.

It was a good day to play hooky from work.

Here are couple of screenshots:

Thanks guys!

Chad, I had to attempt that rock after you made it look so easy!

Robert, good seeing you out there last weekend and hope the hand heals soon.

I have to give credit to Bob (Bikeslut) for showing me the ropes early on at corral canyon ... pick a straight line and go for it ;)

Okay, it's not gnarly or nasty, but it's rocks like these that play with your mind and make them seem more gnarly and nasty than they are to conquer. Like the staging area rock at McCain (I'll have to tackle that rock next time.) as noted in xr650lnoob pics above or the big boulder at CC on the Scout trail.

Point being, many of the obstacles we put in front of our wheels are worth giving it a go. If we do not try, we'll never know. Of course, do it within reason and progress steadily to bigger and better challanges.

Rode up this nugget last weekend. The hardest part about climbing these things, is getting over the mental barriers.
