"Tri - Sport" Weekend in Sedona, Arizona

Recommended Posts

Here's some video of our "Tri-Sport" weekend in Sedona............ trucked out with the 950 to Sedona, AZ over Memorial Day Weekend.......many photos to come soon........

Tri-Sport, a new version of dualsporting, with hiking added in. We rode dirt,

street and hiked for 4 days in Sedona. Awesome weekend !

Here's one video on the way to Honanki Indian ruins.

Video # 2.........

I took Laura on a jeep trail, after our 5+ hour hike........she did great on a

really rough trail to be riding 2-up, she loves it ! We will be doing many more

adventurous dualsport and tri-sport weekends together.

On this jeep trail, I had her get off the bike for 3 sections because I didn't

want to tip over with her on the back, and in this video, I wouldn't have been able

to make it up the hill with her on the back...........it was about a hundred

yards long.........the sun was in my eyes, which made it more difficult to pick

the line going up..............

I need to get back to AZ for more adventuring.

Nice videos, thanks for sharing. With all the zonies coming here for the long weekends it's seems fitting that you went there.

I'll save the ATGATT comments for somebody else. B)

Nice videos Randy. I was expectiing her to get a face full when you were going up that hill. You dress like I usually do in Page. I dress for hiking and rock climbing more than riding.

She did start to get pelted by rocks, so she moved from that spot as I had to get up the second section of the hill.

Don, we were too lazy to put on our long pants, etc. after doing a long hike, so we just rode the jeep trail in our shorts. I took it easy, especially 2-up on a rough trail, not wearing good protection.

Don, we're going to take a major canyoneering course in the Sierra in September, along with an Adventure Bike Ride on the 950......can't wait for that. We'll be certified for rock climbing and canyoneering after that.

What is a "canyoneering " course? I am in slot and water canyons all the time. Either hiking or by boat.

Edit

I decided my canyon photos didn't look right in your trip report. My bad.

I will save them for your thread on hiking and canyons
