and the taillight holder.

It was a BD unit, and I understand they are the same as the sicass. Anyone else have a unit they like?

I have the stock taillight lens with 2 led strips underneath. I also use the remote garmin gps antenna and it is tucked in there too. It's been like that for a few years and haven't had a problem with it. The plate is just bolted to the top of the back fender to the rear of the taillight.

I have some good pics but need to resize them to post em.

IMHO...skip the BajaDesigns plate holder...this is the one I have on my 08 and IMHO is the best one...especially for the money.

Its lighter, brighter and slicker than the BD plate holder :)

I recommend you purchase the plate holder from http://www.oemcycle.com as they have the best price

For the plate holder use part number: 2010-0550

Ooo. Winner! Looking to find in stock somewhere locally.

Thank you.

Ran into Randy M at the Blu Inn Sunday- says you guys were riding together. Interesting character- rode Barstow/Ridgecrest with him a few years ago.

Got one of these from GP just down the hill, and they matched the price of OEM cycles. It's installed and ready to ride, but be aware- there is no license plate light like the BD unit has.

Probably not a big deal, I don't ride the streets in the dark.

If you are worried about the plate light look into something like this:

there are TONS of cheap options that include a light, or plenty of 12V led options out there...

Harleys vibrate at least as bad as the roughest thumper ever made...

Yes, lots of license plate solutions, but more wires I don't need.

I have the Edge on my DRZ, and some LED signals....the plate is in "almost" the same position and the plastic one...not sure of the price differences.
